Also claimed he was “sent” to war then took a gig with Black Water and went back. Remember when liberals were up in arms about Blackwater? HT Farms remembers. Quote

You're just making excuses. Quote

No. Unless we know the criteria for such screenings and the qualifications of the person doing the screenings. I have no idea how these are conducted. Is some private given a brochure showing the 100 tats not allowed and they compare any tats with that in the brochure and if it is not shown it is not a problem? How comprehensive is that brochure? Is it a more comprehensive review of thousands of symbols, or where each tat is put in some symbology index? I don't know. I bet someone here may have had the experience of having gone through this. Perhaps they can give us some insight, or perhaps someone has a link to the process of review. Quote

And they have never said it wasn't her choice to leave. Again, there has not even been a suggestion that it wasn't her choice to leave. I also don't believe she's the only person who has corroborated his knowledge of the significance of the tattoo. Regardless, the campaign has never disputed the tattoo, and the candidate had it altered. So there is acknowledgement of the heinous nature of the tattoo. That you and Tim want to argue the semantics of the heinous nature of the tattoo is curious but not unexpected. Quote

Caine Mutiny Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Actually none of this is relevant. Upon learning of the Nazi tattoo, and his subsequent explanation, I had only one question: does Platner have any record of statements or political positions that would indicate pro-Nazi leanings? (This could be white supremacy, anti-semitism, extreme nationalism, etc.) The answer, so far as I can see, appears to be no. Therefore this doesn’t bother me. 1 Quote

Nazi is a pretty strong term and I’ve avoided calling Trump that since I don’t think he is one. He is certainly authoritarian and nationalist but I would compare him more to a wannabe Mussolini. Like Benito, Donald has a need for adoration taken to absurd levels. Though Hitler received such adoration, he never desired it. More importantly I don’t regard Trump as evil; he is a bumbling incompetent fool and a jerk but not evil. I HAVE compared ICE under Trump to the Gestapo; and that is an imperfect but apt analogy. His explanation seemed believable especially the military review. That he would be so cavalier about showing it at a wedding where the bride was a Jew getting married to his brother also seemed compelling. I didn’t out of hand believe this person you alluded to that you didn’t give any additional info on. I read a blurb about her and I took it as she left the campaign and it wasn’t a smooth, amicable break. I also haven’t seen what else he has lied about you are talking about but I’m certain there are things as people do lie. Give a listen to his interview on The Daily a few weeks back. HTH It seems that way to me and the one article I found on this from like the Bangor Gazette a few weeks back did seem to allude to that she had an axe to grind. But who knows in these situations from such little info and perspectives. The one point she had about the tattoo was that she claimed he’s a huge WW2 buff and she didn’t believe his story about not knowing. That did seem at least plausible I assume there would be some stuff about this he wrote if that were true as he was online talking all kinds of stuff for years. In any case I bought his story as it is currently. Part of how he handles all this shet is part of this process. He has come across a bit like a dipshit on some of these confrontations or to be more kind not politically polished but that works for many in this world. He has also given some good soundbites that I have caught. I’ll watch a debate with him and Collins if I have a chance for sure. Quote
