Maximum Overkill Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Former Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq will miss the remainder of the New York Jets' offseason program after undergoing hernia surgery, according to comments made Thursday by Jets head coach Aaron Glenn. Glenn described the surgery as a "minor procedure" and said the organization expects Sadiq to be ready at some point "during" training camp. The Jets open training camp on July 28. "It's something that he dealt with, and we knew about it going into his last year of college, and he dealt with it during rookie minicamp," Glenn told reporters. "We wanted to make sure we got it done right after rookie minicamp, so he'll be ready to go during training camp." weepaws Posted May 30 Posted May 30 No deal at all, a double digit rd, and he's going to be back for camp. Nothing that needed posting Quote
Maximum Overkill Posted May 30 Author Posted May 30 I don't think Sadiq is anything special. I think he benefited from the instant success of Bowers and Warren. He's not that kind of player. I think Stowers will have a far more productive career. Quote

He's a Jet so the chances are slim. Quote

Here’s the thing though, we are talking fantasy not NFL. Warren is the better traditional tight end, no doubt. Sadiq is more athletic by a decent margin. We really only care about our their pass catching profiles. Of course I’d draft Warren first as an NFL GM. Quote

Warren is a PPR machine, Sadiq is not a typical volume TE, he's not that type of player. He could be a better pro someday, but not a Fantast asset like Bowers or Warren. I'll take Warren 100 out of 100 times over Sadiq in TE Premium Quote

I think Sadiq is the more talented receiver for fantasy purposes, but I said on the Jets he won’t do better than Warren or others mentioned. Quote

LaChup Posted June 2 Posted June 2 I think waiting until rookie camp to have a surgery you've known about for over year, is really well thought out from a rookie. At least he didn't waste too much of his free time in the offseason. Quote
