SUXBNME Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Too hard to name the top 3 of your favorite songs by each, I know, but give it a shot No particular order The Cult Edie She Sells Sanctuary Love The Cure A Forest (remix) Pictures of You Just Like Heaven Quote
frank Posted June 2 Posted June 2 I’ve seen both in concert. The Cult in maybe 1991. The Cure was 2 or 3 years later. Quote

jerryskids Posted Tuesday at 03:45 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:45 PM I like the songs where they are sad and want to kill themselves. So basically, all of them. Also, I heard Pictures of You the other day. I forgot how good a song that is. 1 1 Quote
Caine Mutiny Posted Tuesday at 03:47 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:47 PM Don’t really see them in the same category. The Cult had one or two albums that were pretty good. The Cure is one of the great rock bands of all time with about a decade or more of superb output. 1 Quote

Just answer the question numbnuts and I disagree with you’re take on the Cure , the peaked with their 1st album and then churned out a couple of decent songs an album for a decade 1 Quote

You are the quarry is a good album for something released in this century. Him and the smiths wouldn’t be in my top 50 artists so I don’t know how big of a fan I am. Just more crap out of timmay hump’s mouth Quote

If I liked the music, I'd care much less about him being a whiny, entitled pr1ck. But since I don't, it's much easier to despise him because he legit seems like a shitty human. Maybe I'm wrong about him personally but I've heard enough of his music that I know I'm not changing my mind. That said, How Soon Is Now is a helluva good tune. I can't think of a single other song by him or the Smiths that I like. Quote

Big Guy Posted Tuesday at 11:13 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:13 PM I love tons of bands, but never been into either of these Not a fan of the Cults vocals, and the Cure are too ghey Quote
Gypsybrat Posted Tuesday at 11:26 PM Posted Tuesday at 11:26 PM A Cure topic! I will avoid the hits as there are at least a dozen that can be my favorite for a week. So best no "greatest hits" album 1. The Exploding Boy 2. A Few Hours After This 3. Jupiter Crash 4. Throw Your Foot 5. Hey You I did 5 to make up for my lack of Cult songs. Quote

He can be kiinda like Geddy Lee. Love him or hate him. (I happen to love both Ian and Geddy) Robert Smith, while he does look ghey, is just a musical genius IMO. I'm willing to overlook his emo looks and just appreciate his music. (most of it, anyway...Some of the Cures stuff is just way too out there for me) 1 Quote

Gepetto Posted Wednesday at 02:17 AM Posted Wednesday at 02:17 AM I love both bands and listened to their albums continuously. I listened to the Cult when they came out, and got into the Cure a few years later while I was in college. No favorite song picks for me, I like several of each, pretty much everything. I also use to listen to a ton of The Smiths. Quote
