Strike Posted Tuesday at 06:43 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:43 PM Quote Today, the U.S. Department of Education (the Department) announced that it is again recognizing June as ‘Title IX Month’ in honor of the fifty-fourth anniversary of the Educational Amendments of 1972 (Title IX), signed into law on June 23, 1972. The Department commemorates women’s struggle for, and achievement of, equal educational opportunity and, throughout the month, will highlight the Trump Administration’s historic progress in restoring Title IX’s sex-based protections. https://www.ed.gov/about/news/press-release/us-department-of-education-celebrates-june-second-annual-title-ix-month Quote

HellToupee Posted Tuesday at 07:07 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:07 PM At 1st is was leveling the playing field in the disparity in men’s/women’s sports which was a positive thing Quote

Regardless, the reason for that was that men had like 90% of the athletic opportunities. Title IX evened the playing field. Again, why don't you want women to have equal rights? Quote

Regardless, the reason for that was that men had like 90% of the athletic opportunities. Mostly because football teams are like 60% of the male athletes at a school. To make up for the disparity resulting from football which does not have a female equivalent, other men’s teams were often cut. Wrestling and men’s gymnastics were common victims. There are currently only 12 men’s D1 gymnastics teams for example. Quote
