Maximum Overkill Posted June 3 Posted June 3 San Francisco 49ers receiver Brandon Aiyuk has a warrant out for his arrest stemming from an alleged traffic violation last year, the Santa Clara County (Calif.) District Attorney's Office confirmed to NFL.com. County prosecutors allege Aiyuk committed misdemeanor exhibition of speed on or about Dec. 20, 2025. The complaint was executed on Feb. 11 and filed on Feb. 24, per court documents. The arrest warrant stems from a video posted by Aiyuk to YouTube in December. In the clip, Aiyuk is seen reaching speeds of over 100 mph on Santa Clara roads, including near the 49ers' Levi's Stadium. makindollaz Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Earlier this offseason I was hoping he’d land with my Commanders, but I’d pass. Not just because of this, but something’s just not right. At this point I’d prefer Diggs on an affordable 1 year deal. Quote
Maximum Overkill Posted June 4 Author Posted June 4 He's not the brightest bulb in the lamp apparently. Quote

Not surprising. apparently this is becoming a more common occurrance in the world. I'll fully admit I did a lot of dumb things in my youth. Some pretty funny and illegal (similar to this) but Youtube wasnt a thing back then. I feel for the guy, but at the same time his predicament was a self inflicted. Dumb move. Quote

Does he get another NFL job, between the injuries, motivational concerns and this off the field crap? It's not looking good for him Quote

It's not looking good for him something tells me he just doesnt care. dude's likely got some form of mental illness. he walked from a lot of money because he wouldnt show up to rehab his injury. Even if he has no plans to go back and play, he should at least show up so they will pay him. if you read up on what all went down, its a bit crazy. I'm sure the team isnt fully innocent, but at the same time, if you wanna get paid, you show up for work. Quote
Maximum Overkill Posted June 10 Author Posted June 10 Brandon Aiyuk insults 49ers again: 'They mad cause they stupid' for paying '$50 million in eight months' Disenchanted wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk continues to hurl insults at the San Francisco 49ers on social media. Aiyuk posted a video Tuesday on Instagram in which he called the Niners "stupid" for paying him. His latest dispatch comes after an initial posting Sunday in which he called the 49ers "little-ass boys" who needed to "stop running from the bill." Aiyuk's most recent post took a shot at San Francisco for paying a bill, however. "And another thing. You want to know why they really mad, though?" Aiyuk, 28, said. "They mad cause they stupid. They dumb. They mad that they paid me $50 million in eight months and then voided my guarantees for 20-27. And I'm about to be on a new team in 20-27. They mad at themselves for real. They acting like they mad at me, but they stupid ass mad at themselves." On Sunday, Aiyuk made his first public comments since the team placed him on the reserve/left team list in Dec. 13. Aiyuk has not played for the team since Week 7 of the 2024 season when he suffered a torn ACL, which followed an offseason in which he was a hold-in during training camp before he signed a four-year, $120 million extension. From that extension, Aiyuk has earned $48.15 million, per Over the Cap, which is the "$50 million" he referenced in his latest video. Showboat Posted June 10 Posted June 10 As others mentioned - something is wrong with this dude. He's basically torpedoing any value another team would see in him. I wouldn't be surprised to see a team give him a shot when the 49ers finally let him go, because he did flash some talent, but it would be shocking to see any team offer him anything more than a league minimum tryout. Sounds like he's the smart one. for some reason I thought they suspended him without pay for failing to show up to camp. (or something like that) its been a while since I went over the details so if I'm wrong correct me please. but my understanding was all he had to do was show up do some rehab and let the doctors check him out and he lost all kinds of money as a result. maybe those were bonuses or something I dont remember. anyhow I'd dig into it but I'm crazy busy at work this week but I remember it was something really dumb that cost him a pile of cash. maybe he appealed via the NFLPA and got paid anyway and I've missed the point here. not sure. either way, when I initially read about it, it sounded goofy. if you know more about this than me, feel free to share. admittedly its been a while since i've looked i nto this issue. Ray_T Posted June 13 Posted June 13 ok I looked it up. apparently the 49ers have voided 28 M in guarantees due to his absense from the team funny thing is my understanding is it was totally avoidable on his end. he wasnt gonna play anyway. my understanding is all he had to do is report to camp and rehab his injury like hes supposed to. so he lost out on some significant cash. sounds like san fran is going after him for some of the signing bonuses but thats in the hands of the respective legal teams. Quote
Ray_T Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Aiyuk says he will avoid California due to warrant - NBC Sports apparently san fran doesnt need to make a decision on him. as he has not reported to camp, they dont have to pay him or take steps to move him. and if there is an arrest warrant for which hes avoiding the state, this impasse may last an awful long time. this gong show wont end anytime soon i suspect. Vikings4ever Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Washington plays at SF week 6, then at the Rams week 9... Quote
Ray_T Posted June 27 Posted June 27 well as of this moment, hes still a 49 er. and San Fran is not obligated to do anything about him unless he reports to camp. He cant report to camp unless he deals with this stupid issue with the social media post that has caused the arrest warrant to be issued. I can see San Fran letting him sit for a while. They have a history of doing this. I think this result is fairly predictable. once he actually reports to camp, then the team needs to decide what they are going to do with him. I would suggest that he would be immediately suspended (possibly with pay) to keep him out of the dressing room. but its hard to say for sure. they may trade him but I can see them waiting at least until the Washington game in week 6 so he doesnt get to play against them. DocNiner Posted July 1 Posted July 1 I'll be glad.when he's gone. Talented but seems to be a cancer on his teammates. He.needs to stop making a fool of himself on social media. Quote
