KSB2424 Posted June 16 Posted June 16 As an aside we have to stop pressuring people to draft fast and all have a little patience. People have lives and we’ve never, ever not finished a draft. It’s Monday and we are in the third round. I know everyone is excited to draft but just calm down a bit. Back in the day we didnt even start until Tuesday. R-E-L-A-X. Quote

Fumbleweed Posted June 16 Posted June 16 I will add this with respect to speed of the draft. KSB is right on several counts. First, pressuring others to draft is unnecessary. I don't think I see that happening much, but if so, it's not the right thing to do when we're finishing drafts early. Second, as KSB noted, we are finishing drafts early these days. All that said, finishing drafts early is not some sort of magical process. It happens because there are a number of people in this draft who are very vigilant/cognizant of when they will be on the clock most likely and picks are made promptly. If everyone just "relaxed" and checked in whenever it was most convenient, the draft wouldn't get done. I'm not saying that everyone should drop everything the week of a draft and lock in in some sort of rabid fashion. I'm just saying that there's a reason drafts are getting done early. Some guys in this draft make speedy picks and keep things going. Not everybody has to be one of those guys for the draft to work, but some do have to be that guy. FWIW. 2 1 Quote
