jrokh Posted June 8 Posted June 8 This year I'd say 1 or 2 so you walk away with Bijan or Gibbs, otherwise 10 sounds good,,, Quote

defectivesupport Posted June 9 Posted June 9 It really depends on the draft strategy you like. Middle picks 4/5 are good if you like to draft best player available. 9/10 work well if you like 2x RB early. 1 Is also fine if you are looking for bijan/gibbs. You can look at projected picks to see what spots you like the most from players around that ADP. To me, pick 10 this year doesn't feel like a big upgrade from the 1 or 5 slot in the first 2 rounds, but has a bigger dropoff for round 3. 1: [Bijan/Gibbs] : [London/Bowers/Henry/Brown/Nico/Love] : [London/Bowers/Henry/Brown/Nico/Love] 5: [Puka/JSN/JT/Mccaffrey]: [Achane/Hampton/Walker/Brown/London] : [Pickens/Mcbride/Hall/Olave] 10: [Lamb/JJ/Cook/Jenty/Barkley] : [Lamb/JJ/Cook/Jenty/Barkley] : [Etienne/Rice/Williams] Quote
TBayXXXVII Posted June 9 Posted June 9 The answer is always 1, because it's the only pick you have 100% control of. Quote
Maximum Overkill Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Do a lot of you still play in 10 team leagues? All of my leagues are 12 or 14 teams. I find them way more competitive. Quote

I only have an 8 team work league and two 10-team leagues. If everyone is all in, they're still competitive. I've done 12 and 14 team leagues and generally 8 to 10 of the league owners are drama queens. Always have something to complain about. It's a shame because the 3 to 5 dudes are pretty cool, but the rest, I don't have the patience for. For that reason, I got out of them. Now, I just do my office league for bragging rights (very small payout, only $40 entry fee), my 10-team keeper league which has been going since 2007 ($150), and 10-team league that is with my son and his friends, when they expanded from 8 teams to 10. That's a $100 league. I'm fine with that. Quote

My preference is 12 team money leagues because It forces you to take risks and be aggressive. I play 90% Dynasty though, but usually join a few redraft money leagues every year. Quote

I decided I dont wanna deal with that nonsense in my workplace so I bailed on it. I have no regrets. Quote

It's a $40 league. The champion only wins $160... $120 net. There's only $320 in the pot, after 1st place getting $160, 2nd gets $80, 3rd gets his money back. The other $40 are split $20/$20 to the with the most points and the least points. If the champion had the most points, the max he'd win is $180 ($140 net). No one's colluding for that. Besides, it's all about bragging rights. Quote

I'm like 'no thanks' either way not the sort of thing you want in your office. someone gets accused of colluding and then everyone gets angry. in the end I wanted no part of that. Quote
