They've been telling us that crap as long as I've been alive.  If you live in CA you just live your life and deal with an earthquake if it hits.  I was about 2 miles from the epicenter of the Northridge earthquake when it hit.  It is what it is.

Fires can be seen coming.

Hurricanes can be seen coming.

Tornados can be seen coming.

Even massive flooding can be predicted.

I can't imagine living in a place where a massive earthquake could happen out of nowhere at any moment.

It is truly frightening. In L.A. I've experienced the Sylmar 6.6 quake in 1971, the 6.8 Northridge in 1994 and those in-between of lesser magnitude.

You just have to hope you are not in the wrong place when it happens. I was stopped at an intersection on the way to work for The Whittier Narrows quake in 1987, which was a 6.0 (and I was about 5 miles from the epicenter) but it wasn't traumatic because there was nothing that could fall me.

The Northridge quake was the worst for me as it was in the middle of the night and my master bedroom was on the third story (and the structure was built on a slope). I ran to the walk-in closet and the building was swaying back-and-forth in what seemed like at least a foot in each direction. I pictured the whole building coming down and I remember thinking "I hope the search and rescue dogs they bring will signal that I am still alive in the rubble." 😬

When the next big one hits I will check in here to let people know I am OK, once the power is restored, which could be in a few hours or a few days (as it was for folks in Northridge are in 1994).

Thank God!  Hopefully CA will break off and sink into the ocean as soon as possible.  We need to rid the United States - and the World - of as many far-leftists as possible.  Start over with a clean slate.  They have absolutely ruined that state - cockroaches usually do.

Trump should be at the ready with rescue boats for normal, logical and the non-mentally ill people, though.

Uhm...no.  No one says that about liberal states in general and CA in particular.  You have turned it into a cesspool of perversion, depravity, homelessness and hopelessness.  However, Stalin would approve!

I agree with you, except geographically.

I'd be far more satisfied if the eastern half of Wisconsin fell into Lake Michigan.

That's not going to happen because it's a slip-strike fault.

Hey, Chicago and Milwaukee can drop in.  We're in agreement there.  Let's start fresh with sane, logical and honest people.

Unless you already knew that it's lyrics from an incredibly famous Doors song. Roadhouse Blues.
I've got a feeling that almost everyone here knew this.

And I woke up this morning, I got myself a beer. And I woke up this morning and I got myself a beer · The future's uncertain and the end is always near

Not saying that easilyscan isn't creepy and morbid...I don't know the guy, but you seem to be way quick on the judgements.

Yes for someone who has never heard the lyrics and doesn't know what song this is from.

I knew which song the lyrics came from. You think I made them up on my own ?

What would you do if you heard the song while driving ? Pull over and call your shrink because the lyrics were creepy and morbid ?

C/mon man!

If it was a mix tape from you it would probably be creepy and morbid.

In all fairness, he could have put some Doors lyrics from Riders on the Storm which are much creepier and morbid than what he poasted.

I guess you aren't / weren't  a Doors fan.   Fair enough

My tastes run the gamut from 50's Rock, R&B and Rockabilly to the present.

And as I noted in my post, the songs on that recent playlist were all 2026 New Music tunes.

And here is a playlist I posted on 6/12

Tim Hardin - Simple Song Of Freedom (1969)

Emitt Rhodes - Mirror (1971)

Jackson Browne - Boulevard (1980)

Soft Cell - What (1982)

Uhm...no.

It's Relax - Frankie Goes to Hollywood

I'm guessing he's had that on auto-play now for 40+ years.

For the record, I only pretend to root for California to sink into the ocean.

Those Turtle Island terrorists give me hope. Maybe we could reach can reach a peace agreement with them and hope they accept California as compensation.

I think turning California over to the Turtle Island people is a great idea. If not we just go down the list until we find takers. See if Mexico wants it back, or whatever Indian tribe the Californians make land acknowledgement towards. We might have to get really creative and see if the Palestinian want a new homeland or maybe see if North Korea is willing to take it.

It not like I want the sh*tbags who live there to die, I just don't want to have to share a country with them. Setting off strategically placed nuclear devices along the San Andreas Fault line should be the last resort. We should look for ways to save the redwoods.
