Seriously.  Read about this POS, who all our bored Libs would vote for if they lived in her district:

She says now she regrets those posts and no longer believes them. I’m not sure I could vote for her. It depends on how sincere she seems about her regret and apology.

But once again your hypocrisy here is astounding given that you voted for President for a guy who has made far worse remarks far more often and has never once apologized or taken back anything.

Negative. Definitely would not vote for her.

You guys gotta remember that NYC is a different animal. Stuff that flies there just won't be acceptable in most other places. Same way the folks that get elected in @Voltaire's neck of the woods wouldn't stand any chance getting elected in Oregon, for example.

Americans by and large want a return to centrism from both parties, but the gerrymanders assure that candidates will just get even more extreme because they only have to pander to their base and can fully ignore the opposition. It's bad news for everyone.

It depends?  You didn't even read it, again.  It's in there:

“I am a millennial with an internet connection, and obviously the way I talk about these things now is not at all how I talked about them then,”

Sincere enough?

Holy shitt. This so dumb. As if the country, including the GOP hasn’t shifted further left, with the democrats now far left. Good job Mooney.

MAGAs don't want a democracy and a system of checks and balances. They want a far-right dictatorship.

I wonder if this wakes the Democrats up or not. It might, I don't havea good pulse on how they think but yhey've been kissing the far left's ass for so long now so who knows?

The Empire Struck Back when Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman got sh*tcanned in 2024, but now we're in Return of the Communists. if AOC, Rashida Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar weren't crazy enough for you, they're getting re-enforcements. Going in, the one with the most nutty reputation seems to be Darializa Avila Chevalier who, like Jamine Corckett and other squad members hasn't been afraid to say the quiet part out loud.

I've been saying for years that its impossible to go too far left and not be welcome in the Democratic Party and now we're seeing it. Its occurs to me that this is where the road has always been leading and is who they're becoming. It may come as a shock to James Carville (or may not) that his party is run by the freaks and not but him, but not for the rest of us.

And again I contrast it to how Nick Fuentes gets treated by the GOP, standing uninvited across the street at GOP events with a bullhorn, harassing people attending. Meanwhile, "Former Trump White House dinner guest Nick Fuentes" is always available to give interviews to the corporate left media, who are fishing for the juicy, racist quotes that the colorblind Republicans will never give. As we've mentioned tie and again, he's gotten pissed at being ignored and the lack of inroads he makes with the Republicans, that he now encourages his Groypers to vote for Democrats.

We can and do block off our nuts, the Dems won't/don't/can't.

100%.  The lefty nuts have it figured out. The are accepted due to suicidal empathy.  When you seek to infiltrate in a Trojan Horse of marginalization and victimhood, you have to be accepted by the left.

Republicans don't have an extremism problem nearly on par with the Democrats.

But Florida's 1st...  you are only half right about us.

For the reason you mentioned -gerrymandering- neither firebrand Matt Gaetz, nor uninspirational / invisible Jimmy Petronis from Florida's 1st would win in most of Oregon. But both would win in the Oregon 2nd district.

I doubt a Dem is winning Oregon's 2nd either.

Unlike NYC, is not unreasonable to think that Matt Gaetz could have been replaced in Florida's 1st with a more mainstream candidate in a primary. That wouldn't have been Jimmy Petronis, who barely has a pulse and made zero effort to win our seat which was gifted to him for free with a big red bow. But Gaetz could have lost to somebody who actually tries. Somebody with drive and determination. Someone with an (R) next to a name that isn't Jimmy.

You are right though  that no Dem has a chance of winning this seat. We proved that last election. The Jimmy Petronis campaign comes in second to last place, only recently being surpassed the new Ayatollah of Iran for the title of "least amount of effort put into acquiring a political office". (Someone please bring in the cardboard Jimmy Petronis. Thanks. Put it over there.) It was like a Sociology experiment. Over there you have the hyper-caffinated and well financed Dem who zooms around the district and on talk radio. Meanwhile, over here, laying on the floor, is a 'pining for the fjords' corpse with a yellow "Trump endorsed me" sticky note on its forehead in a GOP+30 district and see what happens.

Me personally? I voted for the corpse. The only reason I can give for that is because I liked what I read on the sticky note. I'm simply not sending a Democrat to Washington under any circumstance in the current environment.

So, I agree that gerrymandering is a big reason for these problems.

As far as New York an outlier?

I hope you're right.

I don't rightly know what the left-wing voters want these days. You seem cogent and not terribly scary. But thus far overall, the corrupt, well-greased, insider Dem establishment has proven unwilling to stand up to the Democratic Socialist freak show. Those chickens are now coming home to roost.

Socialists have been on the march now while. safe blue seats in Michigan, your own Minnesota, Washington, and Texas (before redistricting) have gone to the lunatics. Granted, the insider Dem establishment faction aren't dead yet. They did win back Kori Bush's and Jamaal Bowman's seat in the last election cycle. At this point, post NYC, it looks to me that all the momentum is on the side of radicalism. The lunatics are now eating the establishment Democrat's lunch and taking their safe seats.

I'm not as sure as you are that it will be contained to NYC. Its looking like a mis-informed generation were indoctrinated into hating America by their Howard Zinn history books, and they're going to have to re-learn lessons on socialism in their big cities.

She's for seizing private property and spoke about wiping her hands on the flag.  She didn't win and just happen to have said those things, she won because she said those things.  That is who her constituents are.  There are plenty of liberals there, including their incumbent rep, who the only difference in their voting would be didn't say those things.  That to me is where the danger is in this whole thing is that we have people who believe in that.  There is no reconciling with people's whose mind works that way.

Last night’s primary victories in New York, all Mamdami endorsed candidates over Demoxratic establishment people, represents a watershed moment for both the Democratic Party and. iMO, the United States. I think that within the next decade we will have a Democratic Socialist President for the first time in our history.

I sont see this as the calamity that many conservatives will (last night Stephen Miller went on Fox and warned of violent anarchy and teaching young children to hate America and and be multi gender) but I don’t love it wither. Their economic proposals are too leftist and populist for me. Nonetheless they’re winning. This I believe is the future.

I actually 100% believe Bernie cares, but he is hypocritical as all get out.  He wants to take away from the billionaires, but he is extremely, 1% wealthy and that just rings terribly.  Don't try to lecture me about the plight of the poor people when you have multiple residences and millions of dollars.   Hate hearing him speak on this.

I don't doub this.  I think he's such a jackwad, that anything is possible.

This is also a huge flaw among conservatives like you. You really don’t see any difference between Karen Bass and Mamdami, between Newsom and AOC. To you it’s all the same. That’s really wrong and lazy.

A lefty politician can't answer a simple question where socialism has actually worked? I am shocked. Why do we elect people who are terrified to answer a question how they honestly feel?

Your party is officially socialist now and you can't stop it. Uneducated Dumbasses keep voting them in because they believe the rhetoric.

Global history has a wide variety of socialism to choose from. There is the Fabianism of the UK & EU & Japan with their wonderful infrastructure & lifestyle. To the graphically cruel systems of communism, some of which still exist today (& whose leaders Trump openly admires). Regardless this Trump term has definitely accelerated its arrival.

I’m not even disagreeing with you, I’m trying to point out Trump is enabling & engaging in it with his federal ownership of corporations, his expansion of executive power & by driving up debt & income inequality.

Socialism is being enabled & expanded by this presidency, you should acknowledge it.

I’m not really sure tbqh. The damage is done by this administration & we will be lucky if we can get back to some level of constitutionalism.
