A woman is going viral after claiming a Little Caesars employee wouldn't sell her a pizza because she was 60 cents short.

In a clip that's now making the rounds after being reshared by X user @chickyxime, the woman can be heard yelling at a Little Caesars worker from behind the camera. The woman says she was trying to buy pizza for herself and her baby when she realized she didn't have enough money

but they aren't going to because that's not how businesses are ever going to work (and I'm not saying they should)

I disagree. less than 1 dollar? cmon man!  most places no longer have pennies. most restaurants no longer use any change and they round up or down. with cash of course

Sure, but it's also possible that the person running the register didn't have the power to make that decision.  When I worked at McDonalds as a cashier our tray had to be within $2.00 or we got in to trouble.  This is 40 some odd years ago so I don't remember the penalty but the point is that this person may be conditioned not to allow their tray total to be inaccurate whether they want to or not.

If you have 7 dollars to your name then why wouldnt you make sure its enough for whatever you are getting?  If its not go get 2 slices.  

If im a customer standing there id give her a buck.  Unless of course she goes right into a tantrum and acts like shes owed it for some reason.  

Maybe the cashier would have but the lady went right into entitled mode.  We dont know.  

Ive paid for peoples stuff ahead of me at a grocery store many times.  Half the time old and poor.  Not young and entitled.  

Im sure she had done up nails banging on her 1000 dollar iphone though.

Reminds me of the old TV show "What's Happening."  Raj is buying his Mother a present of some sort and he's at the store and has enough money for the present but that's it. The cashier is like "With tax that will be X" and Raj is like "But I don't want the tax."

If you have 7 dollars to your name go get a box of ramen and get yo azz in the kitchen.  Whip out a tit and feed the "baby".  Do what ya gotta do.

If the customer isn't an azzhat, I'd just put the 60 cents in myself and give her the pizza.  I mean, even for the business, it's still probably better for them to give it to her because the selling the pizza at 60 cents less is better than it being a complete loss.

I was just thinking about this yesterday.  Total came to 12.53.  Gave him 13.  Got 50 cents back.  Like you, when I was growing up if you had cash drawer access you had to be exact.  So how do they reconcile this now?

They don't care.  They round down and round up.  My total at a convenience store this morning was $8.58.  I gave the dude $9, I got back 40 cents.  Just like the store, I don't care about the 2 pennies, it evens itself out over time.  Even if it doesn't, it'll take months, if not many years, to even be down $1.

 

A friend of mine owns a mom and pop ice cream stand.  At the end of every night, and this has been going on for decades, when they count the register every night, if they're over they'll put the money in a jar.  If they're short, they take money from the jar to add it to the register to make it as close to even as possible.  They're never up more than a couple dollars at any one time and never more than a dollar short at any one time.

He probably didn't care too much because his profit margin was at a number he was happy with.  If he didn't count 1's and 5's, that's probably the case.

Tim watched but probably wondered about the food quality of the pizza and how fast it arrived to the house and what kind of insurance the driver has.

Clearly she had enough money to feed her baby at the Little Ceasars, ignoring, of course, whether that is optimal baby food.  what she did not have was enough money for an order for both the baby and herself.  Easy solution.  Get the cheese only slice or slices and not the supreme.  Go with a glass of water instead of a soda.  Her baby could have eaten.  She was using her baby as a shield and a weapon, not unlike the woman who got her baby shot recently fleeing the shoplifting.  Put the child first and these things don't happen.

I think the baby got shot because they were put first

i have never been to a Little Ceasars so I looked up their menu. A large hot and ready pizza is only 6 dollars.  Even with tax that is under the seven dollars she had.  She could have feed herself, her baby and a fat guy.  She ordered wrong.  without knowing her order she clearly had a soda on her order or she ordered a specialty item, or two.  Unquestionably her fault, the entire kerfuffle.

Execution was horrible, but, not going to knock the attempt.  

On the rare occasion I get to play batchelor I get a large pepperoni and crazy bread with sauce. Dinner, breakfast (love the crazy bread and sauce cold) and lunch.  3 full meals and obviously a lot of calories in there for cheap.
