This past 4th of July, when I sat on a powder keg and gave off sparks, the same thing happened to me.

Really I didn't know it was a powderkeg and I just wanted a cigarette.

Thankfully, God needs me to post messages on a lightly trafficked fantasy football website, so St. Peter told me "Turn Around, Bright Eyes."

I thought you were “holding out for a hero”

Didn’t realize this , mainly because I never paid attention to her . I watched a YouTube video about him a couple of years ago, interesting guy

In the 1980s, Tyler ventured into rock music with songwriter and producer Jim Steinman. He wrote Tyler's biggest hit, "Total Eclipse of the Heart", which sold over 13 million copies worldwide and was released as the lead single from her 1983 UK chart-topping album Faster Than the Speed of Night.

I was holding out for a giro.  Happened a lot back then after bar time.  Sometimes when money was tight I would settle for a burrito.

So which is it?

"Giro" has a few distinct meanings depending on context:
  • Cycling Gear: An American manufacturer of snow and cycling helmets, footwear, and apparel, headquartered in Santa Cruz, CA.
  • Banking: A system of electronic funds transfers between bank accounts, common in European banking. In British slang, it can also refer to a government benefit check.
  • Cycling Race: Short for the Giro d'Italia, a major annual cycling Grand Tour.

I'm a big enough fan of Steinman's work that I can usually recognize one of his songs the first time I hear it. He's the maestro of overwrought, epic pop numbers.

He wrote every Meatloaf hit, Bonnie Tyler's biggest hits, along with huge hits by Air Supply, Barry Manilow, Celine Dion, and even friggin Sisters of Mercy.

Fun Fact:  Steinman was able to make love out of nothing at all.

I've got a personal Mandela effect going on. I was 100% sure she died like 3 or 4 years ago, and that it was mentioned on this bored. Weird

Maybe she did and now you are reverse aging. :dunno:

Where have all the good bongs gone, and where are all the buds?
Where's my streetwise room mate returning here with some suds?
Isn't there a hot chick to satisfy my need?
Late at night, I toss and I turn, and I dream of smoking weed
I need a gyro
I'm holding out for a gyro 'til the end of the night
Its after bar time and I've got the munchies
And that blow will keep me going all night
I need a gyro
slathered with Tzatziki sauce
add some fries and a large coke
Imma stuff my face like a boss
I need a gyro......
