Super Cubs Posted July 17 Posted July 17 What are your thoughts on Dax with a healthy Lamb, Pickens, and Ferguson. Is top 3 QB realistic? Quote
Showboat Posted July 17 Posted July 17 According to his contract, it should be. Most importantly Dak needs to stay healthy, but he seems to be getting nicked up every other year. I think there are a lot of QBs with the potential to be top 3. Quote

I dont think hes likely top 3 but top 6 to 10 is more likely. his huge numbers earlier in his career were when every other team in the division was terrible and he got 2 games against each of those. I dont know that he was ever truly a top 3 QB. he was a top 8-10 QB that put up top 3 stats due to soft schedules those years. if healthy, with the talent around him I can see top 6. but if you look, lately it seems like he misses significant time every second year, so realistically hes a coin flip. draft him to be a low end QB1 or high end QB2 and if hes healthy he will pay dividends. if hes not, you better have a solid backup behind him. RareN64Dream Posted July 19 Posted July 19 I think, Javonte Williams should help create pressure on defenses to open up the passing game. If Lamb can improve on his drops, I don't see why Dak can't be a top 5 QB. He can probably still scramble decently well. Cowboys got Caleb Downs too, that should create more chances for the offense. He seems like he will be a solid rookie on defense. The Cowboys WR are pretty stacked overall imo. 1 Quote
WhiteWonder Posted July 27 Posted July 27 is that a combination of Dak Prescott and Jaxson Dart? 1 Quote
LVSaint429 Posted Monday at 10:34 PM Posted Monday at 10:34 PM Nobody should be afraid of taking Dak this year. With those weapons around him, he could very well lead the league in both yards & TDs. 4000+ & 30 is probably his floor 1 Quote

Feels too easy. Quote

I don't have a problem taking him, but I do have a problem taking him in the top 12 of QB's. In 2019, he played all 16 games. That's the last time he's played consecutive seasons without missing at least 5 games the following year. In 2020, he missed 10, only 1 the following season, then missed 5, missed none, then missed 9, then none. The trend shows, he's going to possibly miss 5 to 10 games this season. I'm not taking him ahead of guys like Stafford, Lawrence, Nix, Goff, or Mahomes. Will I take him the next round? Sure. I think when we're talking round 10... and I have at least 4 RB's and WR's, I'm ok with that. I'm not taking Dak in the first 7 rounds. Nope. Quote

Funny thing though, in the FFToday Mock Draft that we did last month, I took him in the 8th round as the #9 QB. There were 2 reasons for that... 1) I loved my WR's at the time, had 5 of them, and I didn't like the RB's as a lot of RB's went early. Really, the only real spot to draft was QB. I did take Jordan Love 4 rounds later though... the only reason that happened was because there was a run on TE's and I wanted to get one. I had planned on taking Stafford in round 9, but took Goedert. Stafford went the very next pick. Before my next pick, both Mahomes and Purdy went, so I took another RB. It's how the draft broke. If I knew what was going to happen, I'd have taken Stafford in round 8 and then waited until many rounds later and taken one of Mendoza, Stroud, or Jones in the teens. Quote
