Strike Posted August 7 Posted August 7 I think she will be a dominant force. I hope the league follows it's own rules and doesn't discriminate against her. That would be wrong. Don't you agree @squistion? 2

Voltaire Posted August 7 Posted August 7 The WNBA can put up or shut up. Also, someone tell him her about transgender lesbians, which is really the golden key to enter the realm.
Drizzay Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Royce was a hell of a HS basketball player and had a promising college career, but had/has serious mental health issues.

Ive dealt with Royce a few times and know him a little in the basketball world ….hes equally brilliant and batshiit at the same time. But hes burned every bridge hes ever crossed. Having said that my God, I hope this happens even though I know it won’t. That would be hilarious.

It would be even better if it does NOT go through. The WNBA has put themselves in a position where they publicly support trans women. Either you support them and let the ones in that claim to be trans orrrrrrrrr you admit your full of shittt and are hypocritical assholess. Who are they to judge his journey to womanhood. 1
Strike Posted August 8 Author Posted August 8 Just now, kilroy69 said: dude that is high level trolling Is it trolling when you take a stance and push it to it's logical conclusion? This stuff was foreseeable especially after the volleyball player knocked his opponent in to next week to the point that she STILL has physical issues from the hit she took years later, and the MMA fight where a tranny beat a woman to a pulp and it was LEGAL within the sports rules. I'm good with whatever it takes to stop the insanity and don't consider it trolling. 2

He has a fear of it much like a lot of people don’t like flying. Didn’t mean he never did it. I mean he wasn’t driving to games in West Virginia. I think people just attached his mental health awareness stuff and turned it into something else. Really good friend of mine that was on that team sat next to him a lot. So he white knuckled it but he’d do it.

Unsurprising how quick people were to jump on this bandwagon that this is the "logical conclusion".

So, specifically, when it comes to it being “women only” league, what specific excerpt from the CBA or operational rules don’t they meet?

And why hasn't the WNBA come out with a statement saying such? The only thing I've seen is some drivel from their players association that sounds like a Kamalatoe word salad with no substance whatsoever.

Unsurprising how quick people were to jump on this bandwagon that this is the "logical conclusion". I decided to do your homework for you. Per an ESPN article, Quote The 2026 collective bargaining agreement signed in March states that "only players who are women are eligible to play in the WNBA." There is no further definition of a woman or any publicly available policy governing transgender or intersex athlete eligibility. The WNBA has not responded to multiple requests for clarification of the league's policy. https://www.espn.com/wnba/story/_/id/49538591/amid-tension-cunningham-says-wants-get-back-basketball

But you do you. You never want a serious discussion anyways. You're just another drive by poster.

And like you often tell people 'it's not my job to educate you'. And yes, I'll drive by and mock stupid people who use as proof an Enes Kanter twitter post who clearly haven't bothered to research it beyond the damn post. At this point all you are doing is yourself. Good job. 1

Fnord Posted August 11 Posted August 11 This is fascinating. I'd consider all of this just trolling performance art, but at some point the WNBA is going to have to respond. Meaning, by proxy, that NBA owners are going to have to respond. I need to buy more popcorn.
nobody Posted August 11 Posted August 11 It's trolling now, but if the league ever starts making money and players start making big money, there's going to be a lot of gender confused ex-D1 athletes trying to cash in if they don't put some rules in place.

The money is going up. Is it NBA money? Of course not. But to some good college player not quite NBA level it's a lot more than they're probably going to make with that underwater basket weaving "degree" they just "earned": https://www.espn.com/wnba/story/_/id/48271630/wnba-cba-collective-bargaining-agreement-salary-supermax-rookie-wages-contracts
Sean Mooney Posted August 11 Posted August 11 A stupid publicity stunt from people who are past their points of relevance. Also- pretty sure trans people who are allowed to participate in women's sports have to do hormone therapy and everything. Pretty sure Kanter won't be doing that. If you truly care solely about protecting the women's sports I'm not sure cheering on these dudes is the way you want to be. 2
kilroy69 Posted August 11 Posted August 11 25 minutes ago, Sean Mooney said: If you truly care solely about protecting the women's sports I'm not sure cheering on these dudes is the way you want to be. This is absurd gaslighting. The WNBA has to have a meeting just to define what a woman is yet they are out there all day every day supporting trans "women". Either put up or shut up. You can either pretend to be a woman at every level or no level. Despite what YOU may think I would make a guess that the majority of normal people(see non liberals) see this as a pretty legit way of protesting the nonsense that has become irrational support of the trans community.
