Makes sense. MAGA dominating the Republican Party in Texas doesn't mean MAGA still dominates politics in Texas.

Talarico appeals not only to the entire Democratic base but young and independent voters, faith-based moderate voters and working-class folks, just like the Democratic Party used to do.

Paxton is a corrupt slimeball, the kind of person Texans are getting sick of in numbers that should alarm Republicans, who seem to be in denial over the sea change in Texas and nationwide.

No, Talarico does not say Karmelo Anthony was convicted because "there were no black members on the jury" - He says in the clip he is not that familair with the case but points out there were no black members of the jury, and that he feels that legal system is not working for Blacks in Texas.

I live in a city where that’s been going on for decades. It’s awful. But when they convict someone I definitely appreciate the justice system. I don’t make excuses because of supposed racism or their political party.

I hear you. I lived in Texas for a while. Seems inconceivable. But Georgia elected 2 Dems & now they’re fairly popular.

Ken Paxton has been in office since I was in middle school.

Now, less than 100 days before election day, he's pretending to care about the cost of living crisis. He just unveiled his ‘affordability plan’ — and it's mostly just tax breaks for wealthier folks.

When he talks about costs, you can tell it doesn't come naturally. It's a little like he's trying to speak French or something. It's like affordability is a word he learned on Duolingo that morning. He just found out that for other people, the cost of living is something you pay yourself, not something you pass on to your billionaire mega donors.

This is the guy who became a multi-millionaire on a government salary and has sold out working Texans at every turn. Now Ken Paxton wants us to believe he cares about us. Who does he think he's fooling?
