RB:  Tuten, Croskey-Merritt

WR: DJ Moore,  Godwin, Diggs, and Addison     runners up   MHJ,  DK

TE  Likely, Otton

 

all of these players can be had reasonably late in the draft and I suspect if you get them all you might have a pretty good team.    bottom line,  its a good year to wait on talent (especially at WR) so there is no need to reach for players that you shouldnt.

I feel like Swift is a value around the 5th.  Even if Monangai plays, still think Swift is a top 20 RB and solid RB2 in fantasy.

yeah strange too.    I tried to keep the list to those that were the most underrated.   in some cases it was a tough call.   but every player whose name is mentioned is a player who I think has a solid chance to exceed projections.  in some cases by a lot.    Stafford is ranked as a QB2 on a lot of ranking boards but was the second best QB1 last year.   if he repeats last years stats, hes a massive steal based on where he is ranked and where his ADP is.    but with him due to age/health I'd suggest you get yourself a top notch second QB capable of putting up QB1 numbers.     good news is.... one of those happens to be on the all underrated team and is going very late in drafts.

I think there’s a lot of gold and fools gold in that mix.  The fools gold won’t hurt you at those ADPs, but the gold in that group will likely win some championships for you.

Stafford and DK scream fools gold to me.  Stafford had his very unlikely swan song last year.  Love him and what he’s done in the NFL.  I just hope his fizzle out isn’t as pathetic as Brady’s.

DK has to contend with cry baby AARON who isn’t going to quit until someone finally says he was better than Favre.  Dude is pathetic at this point.  Bye, Felicia!

well, its all a matter of opinion.     he was the #2 ranked fantasy QB last year.  do you really think he will drop to the point where hes undraftable?    I guess its possible.

but in looking at the fftoday rankings, the difference between #6 and #12 is very small points wise.   but hey, you gotta draft people you are comfortable with.

I didnt draft Stafford, but I did get DK.     Historically WR in their first year under Rodgers tend to not score especially well in fantasy.  but in year 2 they do tend to be better.   I'm betting on the rebound.  and at the price I paid if it doesnt work out, it doesnt break the bank.

I also love Addison.  he worked out with Kyler Murray in the offseason.  I think he gets the early connection with his new starting QB and it pays off statistically for him.

anyhow I could go on about each other player on here.   but for the most part the stories are already known.

some will pan out and some will not   but if playing fantasy football, you only have so many starters.  and most of these guys can be had for the price of a backup or a WR3.  at that price, you can afford a few misses.  all you really need is one or two hits if your top draft picks work out.

Jordan Addison was frustrating to own last year as a keeper for me in one league, I got last or 2nd to last place. If the Vikings offensive line is horrible again; then I would try to get a rookie WR or something instead, probably. Looks like 49ers put up 41 points in a game; they might have some strong players to target. But, preseason doesn't really matter a whole lot; typically. Just thought I would share some feedback. I decided to keep Matthew Stafford, their roster is pretty strong. Also, Aaron Rodgers in the same league. But, it is 2 QB start; so QB are pretty valuable. Having 2 healthy starters is important. Someone won it all in Auction league last year, I probably shouldn't have traded them Aaron Rodgers. But, I had like 5 QB and took a shot to make the playoffs by trading for Mike Evans when Evans got healthy. It is a half point per reception league also and TE count as WR.

I fully agree about Addison.  but his QB was just shy of terrible.   thats enough to keep a player from breaking out when you are not the de facto #1.   he got 900 yards as a rookie so hes not without talent.   I think with better QB play he bumps up to that level.  if things break right he could be headed to a 1000 yard season.   no guarantees of course.   I got him for the price of a WR4.  and this is the type of pick I dont mind taking the risk on at that point in the draft.

if you think Im drafting him as a WR2 we are having a completely different discussion because the body of work doesnt warrant that level of committment.  but the signs are positive.

I kept him in one league in the 8th round last year, I think. So he was my WR #2 or #3 pretty much. Darrisaw getting more healthy should help Vikings overall this season for blocking. Kyler Murray is going to have to scramble a lot because he is pretty short. Hard for him to see over the offensive line.

maybe.   I'm counting on the fact that Addison worked out with Kyler in the offseason.    that sometimes will mean you will estabilsh an early connection which allows the player to be more productive than he would be otherwise.

There is no guarantee it works but often there are results there.

Cousins specifically recruited Mooney when he signed in Atlanta and actually worked out with him in the offseason and Mooney had a good year by his standards.

so it does sometimes pay off.   

these things dont always result in a better outcome, but I'd say better than 50% of the time it does.
