Anyone else using Copilot with DraftBuddy?

My league mates banned computers long ago as I built my own spreadsheets and incorporated draft buddy in the early days so I had to print sh1t from draftbuddy on hard copy paper for one league every year over the last several.  They were like "uhhhh we want you to draft not who the computer tells you to,"

 

Well now Copilot actually does what they thought it was doing all those years ago

I started playing FF when I was 8.  I ran a neighborhood league when I was 10.  I spent many of hours grinding fantasy stats and scenarios.  I used to enjoy the busy work.  

I burnt out years ago.  I do not enjoy the busy work.  Crunching numbers to project which RB will have 9 more catches than another RB seems goofy.  

These days I go in with a printed off sheet and cross guys off.  I do just as well.  

Its 75% luck.  At least.

you dont need to go into that kind of detail if you follow football.

most players are reasonably easy to project.  if the situation is the same as the previous year.   if the situation changes, you need to look at the projection and see if it makes sense to you.

I use fftodays rankings because generally they are pretty decent.  but I dont agree with every prediction they make.  so I do some of my own work.   In fantasy, most rating systems view a change in the offense as an element of risk, but its not always that way.   when Sequon and Henry moved to their current team most rating systems had them ranked later.   I saw it as an opportunity as the teams they were moving to had substantially better O lines than what those players were dealing with on their previous teams.

so I went all in on those guys with a lot of success.   in the July mock that year I went Barkley and Henry in round 1-2.    I didnt win the league that year.  I finished second but was within strikiing distance of first place at the end of the year.   If I could have gotten one more decent WR I might have won.    but hey, thats the way it goes sometimes.

anyhow, bottom line is when a player changes their situation, thats an opportunity and a risk.   thats where you focus your research to figure out which it likely is.

this year I see lots of good WR that will be available late, so I'm running a similar strategy where it makes sense to do so (RB-RB to start) but whether that strategy makes sense also depends on where in the draft you are picking.

This year in PPR I've noticed that the tipping point in terms of where the value is, is roughly balanced.   what that means is if more WR have been taken than RB, then you should take the RB.   if More RB have been taken, then you should take the WR.   this is generally the rule between round 2 and 4.   round 1 it really depends where you are picking.  

thats my general strategy

first 2 picks on the board should be RB.   next 2-3 picks should be WR in most PPR style formats.   but thats also rule dependant so its a know your league thing.
