Need one more owner for 3:30 Live Yahoo Draft
ashwiggins posted a topic in Find A League, Fill A League
A lot of us are friends in the league, it's been going on for years. 10 teams, PPR, Flex spot. League ID#: 460171 Password: renew -
A mouth full of gold teeth is usually a death sentence for most NFL players. Even Edgerrin James took his out eventually.

This guy hit the nail on the head about Tebow and his possible affect: http://www.jeffpearlman.com/i-want-tim-tebow-to-fail/
-
As a die hard Florida fan, IMO Tebow is the most pathetic professional athlete since Jon Kitna and that's not even factoring in how awful of a QB he is.
-
As a fill in he's all right, but if you're using Crabtree as your starter, I guarantee you won't be winning your league. Last year he only played or scored well against awful teams like St. Louis, Arizona and Oakland for example. I do think he's a talent, but that offense and QB are wildly inconsistent.

A Strategic Approach to Blind Bid Waivers

Steve Smith was available in one of my pay leagues. The guy dropped him right before the games started on Sunday. I spent $52 of my $100 and won. That's by far the most I ever spent on a player in the past six years. I don't know if it was a good investment yet, but I lost Colston in that league, so I needed help. I also got Henderson for $7, which seems about right according to that article. -
There's no IR in the league I use (Fantasybowl, but Yahoo has an IR option for managers to use and the only use for it is keeper leagues. If a player goes on IR he's done for the year, that's what IR means in football. Now if your league could have a PUP list (out six weeks), that would be used for injured players and it would be more accurate description of the circumstances. Again, that's only Yahoo, I'm sure there are other leagues that have different settings.

I just added him in 4 of my 5 pay leagues. One of the leagues I didn't have anyone to drop that was worth the risk. It can't hurt to add him if you have room. He could blow up under the Saints offense like he did in New England or he could blow up the locker room. Plus, Moss usually does great his first year on good teams. I'm also betting that Moss needs the money and with him being 34, this would be his last chance to earn.

I think I've got a winner. This owner is in a paid money league with me at fantasybowl. With his 12th pick he took Fitz and then the his next pick, which was the 13th since he was picking last, he took Kyle Orton. Then these are the rest of his picks in order. This draft took place a few days ago: Best Manning Jimmy Graham Sproles Torain Bees Denver Pettigrew Clayton Kaeding Giants Hartley The worst paid league draft I've ever seen. Heck, might be the worst draft of any kind I've seen. Here's the proof: http://www.fantasybowl.com/2011/?LeagueID=21631&Page=Roster&TeamID=237096&Time=8455

Though Matt Cassel (appendectomy) is active for Sunday's game against the Rams, he's not been cleared to start. ESPN's Adam Schefter received a text message from an observer at the Edwards Jones Dome saying, "Warmups weren't pretty." It's time to get Cassel out of all fantasy lineups even if he ends up playing. It looks like he's going to get pulled early even if he tries to gut it out in a big game. More likely, Brodie Croyle will draw the start with Cassel as the emergency option. I'm scared to start Dwayne Bowe now. My only other real option is Torain, but Bowe is garbage with Brody throwing him the ball.

This is so true. Miles Austin and Roy Williams are borderline WR3 now. Kitna is awful. This is the first year I didn't draft a single Cowboy player in 4 pay leagues and tried like crazy to trade for Miles Austin but everyone wanted crazy asking prices.

Who has a better game this week. S. Jackson vs. Detroit, McCoy with dink down Kolb vs.SF or Bradshaw vs. the Texans?
-
This would be the greatest prediction thread of all time if you would have just chosen the opposite of everything you predicted.

Vikings "very close" to acquiring Randy Moss?
ashwiggins replied to tecklc2112's topic in FFToday Board
Jerry Rice was the greatest WR of all time, but Moss on his best day is the most talented WR or all time. I'm not a Vikings fan for what it's worth, but this Vikings team is getting older quick. If they stay healthy though and Farve plays like last year, they will be one of the best teams in the league.
