heffley 12 Posted August 25, 2014 Hey guys just want your opinions on how I did yesterday on my live draft, there were a lot of reaches for some reason so I think I did pretty solid. Just a note I never really draft RB's because in my eyes they are a dime a dozen and there is always some surprise RB's, so I know my RB slots are pretty weak. But full of Potential!!! This is a 12 team league and I had the 6th pick, non-ppr and pretty common scoring. I will put in parenthesis what round I drafted them. QB: (3) Cam Newton, (15) Ryan Tannehill WR: (1) Calvin Johnson, (2) Dez Bryant, (8) Jeremy Maclin, (14) Justin Hunter RB: (5) Chris Johnson, (6) MJD, (7) Ray Rice, (9) Darren Sproles, (13) Darren Mcfadden TE: (4) Vernon Davis, (12) Coby Fleener K: (11) Mason Crosby Def/St: (10) Denver Broncos Just some feedback good or bad, let me know what kind of trades I should get into or what ever you suggest. My sleeper in my eyes was Justin Hunter.
Cuse9 128 Posted August 25, 2014 QB: (3) Cam Newton, (15) Ryan Tannehill Don't like the Newton pick in round three. I am a believer that if you don't take Manning/Brees/Rodgers, then you wait til rounds 6-7-8 to grab a QB. He's a top five QB though, so at least you did grab a good one. Tannehill has potential and is a good back in fantasy. WR: (1) Calvin Johnson, (2) Dez Bryant, (8) Jeremy Maclin, (14) Justin Hunter Top three should be great week in and week out and Hunter offers that home run pick potential. He looks great in pre-season, we'll see what happens in the regular season. RB: (5) Chris Johnson, (6) MJD, (7) Ray Rice, (9) Darren Sproles, (13) Darren McFadden For waiting until round five for running back you did very well. CJ2 is a mystery to me, but I like what he might do this year. MJD is a good pick and you grabbed McFadden just in case. Rice will be the feature when he comes back. Don't care for Sproles, but he's a great RB4. TE: (4) Vernon Davis, (12) Coby Fleener Not a fan of Vernon Davis. The Niners offense isn't that great and Crabtree and Boldin take too much away from Davis. He's a great talent, hopefully he lives up to a fourth round pick for you, but I don't think he will. Fleener is just a bye week filler. K: (11) Mason Crosby Def/St: (10) Denver Broncos Denver loaded up this year. They should get plenty of points this year. Overall I think you did really well. I feel like you reached on some picks (Newton, Davis) but the running backs that fell to your later picks made up for the reaches. You were able to grab possibly the top two WR's in the league and surrounded them with consistant point producers. Great job. It wasn't a conventional draft by any means, you were all over the place with your picks, but in the end it's a really good looking club you gathered! Great job! Good luck this year! heffley 12 Posted August 25, 2014 Thanks for the in depth review man appreciate it! I agree The V. Davis pick was a bit of a reach but I did that because how fast the top 3 TE went so I just grabbed him as fast as I could. I think Fleener may be able to become a solid TE, we will see. But, I would like to make a trade for a better TE. My RB's are full of potential for sure and the MJD and Mcfadden thing I feel may work out great, but its all a crap shoot on RB's nowadays.
