Anyone out there unable to get to the rankings/projections that were set out Thursday? I cannot get into them, due to server trouble.

Alot harder than I thought Montana Bradshaw Payton Jim Brown With Rice 5th in my opinion

The whole situation sucks. Why the owner from 7 would buy players when he is out of contention is beyond me (depending on the cost). It is a pretty egregious act by the commissioner if indeed he influenced it, and I would definitely let him know that you do not belief it is in the spirit of the rules to help manage another persons team. Like you said, probably not worth a friendship, but it is certainly within your rights to make him uncomfortable about what he did.

Does Arizona Stand A Chance Against Pitt?
Mooseknuckles FF replied to stonewall's topic in FFToday Board
I enjoyed both games yesterday. Nothing like cheering for the underdog in the first game and the sheer ferocity of the hitting in the second game made it well worth the price of admission. I wish I had thought it through a little better from the betting side. I bet on Pitt. but should have been more aggressive, no way a rookie QB goes into hostile environment like Pittsburgh and wins that game. However, I do not believe Warner will be 3 for 14 at half. I think the Cards CAN win (and I'll be cheering for them), I don't think they will but I think it will be a close game, or maybe that is what I am hoping. Steelers 23 Cardinals 20 -
McNabb is now 1-5 in championship games and SuperBowls
Mooseknuckles FF replied to phillybear's topic in FFToday Board
I was on the fence, but that last drive put him over the top. On the other subject, McNabb played a good second half, bad first obviously. I think he is the QB next year too, and Philly fans will have to suffer through Reid/McNabb again. -
If someone told me Cardinals would be down one in 4th quarter with the ball and 8 mins left, you would have to be pretty optimistic I would think.

The Official Steelers vs Ravens prediction

In the land of FG's first team to score a TD wins. Pittsburgh 16 Baltimore 6 -
Honest question here, do the Detroit fans on the board throw alot of the blame on Marinelli? Even though he coached the worst team in NFL history I still have some sympathy for him, unlike Millen. Weird because Chilli took the Vikes to the playoffs and I still have pure disdain for him.

I don't think he can possibly fall that far, of course I have been wrong before. But every team in front of them needs a WR adn could go get one, except Detroit (so many holes with Megatron being only standout). I doubt KC will(Bowe not terrible and does it matter when you throw to Tony G every play), but alot of the teams in front of Jax have big decisions anout their receivers, Housh and Johnson for Cincy, Holt for St. Louis, Braylon vs. Winslow in Cleveland. One or more of these guys could easily be unloaded (Housh FA already) and then Seattle and Oakland could definitely use a game changer. Although Jacksonville could use a quality WR, I don't think Crabtree will be there. Maclin may, depending on the combine.

Although this is out of left field I look at Harvin as a Devin Hester type. Pure speed to stretch the field and a knack for finding openings (Harvin as a RB, and Hester as a returner) although both are undersized in todays game. Harvin will most certainly be a better route runner and have better hands because he played WR/RB in college but Hester has begun to build himself a niche at WR (to the detriment of his return skills). I don't think Harvin can be a true #1 receiver but a very good complement to another quality receiver.

5 Favorite and hated players of all time, in your opinion
Mooseknuckles FF posted a topic in FFToday Board
Being bored I decided this may provide some entertainment. Since Pimptaddy posted his blog about his 25 year love affair with the Cowboys since the Hail Mary, I have been trying to come up with my five favorite players/coaches and least favorite players/coaches of all time, FROM ANY TEAM. I was thinking of putting your favorite team above and then list your five admired/hates. The team will allow everyone to see if one of your hated players was from your beloved squad (ie. Scott Norwood). Pretty hard to narrow down, at least for me. Team: Minnesota Vikings Favorites: 1) John Randle - No one provided the energy this guy did in his prime. 2) Fran Tarkenton- Alot of great memories for kid growing up (although no SB wins obviously) 3) Joe Montana- Loved him in SF and especially carrying KC his last year 4) Joey Browner - Loved the big hits 5) Moss & Carter - 99 Vikes were fantastic, except for Dennis Green Honorable mention: Alan Page, Ahmad Rashard, and Larry Fitzgerald (He's Good) Hated: 1) Drew Pearson- Clearly pushed off on Hail Mary 2) Brett Favre - Hated as a Packer, but even worse with the way he has acted since 3) Al Davis - Despised, and beat us in a SB 4) Phil Simms - Complete douche, even now. Parcells made him. 5) Terrell Owens - God I hate this guy. Honorable Mention: Randy Moss, post Vikings, Daniel Schneider, Nick Saban and Bobby Petrino -
Have hated the Cowboys most of my adult life (offensive pass interference on Hail Mary!), and hate the Packers with the fire of a thousand suns as I am a Vikes fan and tht is just practical. Although both posters ratcheted it up another notch this year, that and the Favre apologists who will quickly get the bus rolling aagain I am sure. To my surprise (can't believe I am about to say this) the Eagles fans seem pretty well behaved for the most part because I always teeter on hating them and am surprised I didn't get pushed over the edge.

Not trying to pick a fight here, but I think Young's potential is highly doubtful. The games I saw him, he looked terrible. The last week of the season against Indy's backups he was brutal. And Simms is a FA I believe. WHere is money better spent, Simms or Collins? I think Collins, or maybe even Garcia. If I was coach and had a 14-2 team, I don't think I would be trying to change the offensive dynamic much.
