    New Owners and Draft Position

Personally, I think it would be best to just start with a clean slate and redraw for picks. But that probably will upset the owners who finished 9th and worst last year. You could just plug them into where the other two owners would be before they quit. That would be quite fair and would probably upset the least amount of people in the league.

The Chris Johnson 2,000 rushing yard thread

Current total: 1,242 Remaining Schedule (Average yards rushing allowed): Week 12: Arizona (103.2) Week 13: @ IND (107.6) Week 14: STL (146.4) Week 15: SD (118.5 Week 16: MIA (105.9) Week 17: @SEA (110.5) That's a total of 692.1. Put that together and that makes 1,934. But you have to consider that TEN is one of the premiere rushing offenses and therefore will probably rack up more than what the defense (on average) allows. So, looks like he stands a pretty good chance. I remember when Jamal Lewis did it with the Ravens back in 2003. I'm rooting for CJ!

    Biggest Game in Texans History?

    Texans haven't allowed a 100-yd rusher in 6 games!

What NFL Commentator cliche irritates you the most?

1.) "The Steelers are a hard, physical football team that grinds out tough games on the ground" Steelers - 17th in Rushing Yards per game, 5th in Passing Yards per game. 2.) Any very harsh criticism on Tony Romo. Yes, he's made some stupid mistakes, but he's a fantastic QB. Top 4 QB in passing yards and touchdowns of the past 3 years. Highest rating and touchdowns in a season? 97.4 and 36. How about Troy Aikmen? 93.6 and 23. Yes, Aikmen had the better overall team and running game etc, but I'm not as much comparing these two as I am just showing how Tony Romo is underrated.

    Biggest Game in Texans History?

I live in Houston. This game means a ton to our franchise. Going 6-4 would put us right in the thick of the Wildcard hunt. It's hard to compare the significance of this game to other games this season because the franchise has only played regular season games. The last game HOU v TEN (week 2) may have been one of the most exciting games we have experienced in the past year or two (very physical game..if I remember correctly, a fight broke out haha). Plus it's on national television during MNF so... On an side note, there are some interesting storylines that make this game intriguing. 1.) Titans (Oilers) are Houston's old team. Always an intense atmosphere. 2.) AJ v Cortland Finnegan. Very bitter rivalry. 3.) VY returns to Houston.

    Chances of coming back tonight?

It's hard to predict kickers but I'd just go with Bironas. You figure a kicker is worth around 8. So you need 18. AJ needs 120 - TD. I actually think you have a 60% chance of winning. I live in Houston. Andre HATES Finnegan (Titans CB). Andre is a really soft-spoken dude, doesn't say anything, but he openly expresses his dislike for Finnegan. Plus he burned him last time for 10-149-2.

    4th WR needed

Start Steve Smith with their running game a little injured today. Add in the fact that Atlanta is the 7th-worst at defending the pass in the league (246 yards allowed per game). And that Steve Smith accounts for 478 of 1376 passing yards (34%), take that 35% against 246 allowed a game and you get 86.1 yards. Atlanta has also allowed 11 TD's to date through the air, so I'd say Smith has a 50-50 shot at a TD, in addition to 86.1 yards. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=357050

    One week Def pickup?

I would defiently not play the TEN or ATL defense, and in addition to the fact DAL plays GB, I'd pick up Dallas. Green Bay has allowed 37 sacks thus far (about 3 or 4 a game), and depending on your league scoring, thats 3-8 points right there. Add in the fact that Dallas is a top-10 sacking team, and you might have 5 or more sacks on the day. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=357050

    Lynch or Stewart?

Assuming DeAngello Williams (CAR RB) is out for the game against Atlanta, should I start Marshawn Lynch vs TEN or Johnathan Stewart vs ATL? Thanx, give me a link if you need something.

    HUGE TRADE...Help please.

Easy...take Slaton and Welker....that's a retarded trade for someone, I'm not even going to...wow. Take Slaton and Welker!!

    Week 5 RB help

Yes, sit Jackson. It's a great matchup but the other 3 are way better option and are all guaranteed 15+ touches.

    RB wavier question

To start this week? Donald Brown vs the Seahawks Donald Brown will be a solid RB all year, and you could plug him in based on the matchup. However... If Brandon Jacobs were to go down with any sort of injury, Bradshaw would easily be a top 10 back for however long that time period is.

    Rogers or Schaub?

That's a tough one. Honestly, different arguments can be made for each option. If it were my team, though, I would start Schaub. Last year, Rodgers only had 320 passing yards and 1 passing touchdown against the Vikings through 2 games. For whatever reason, it seems like he gets shut down by Minnesota (who also ranks 4th in passing defense this year by only allowing an average of 168 yards). Don't get me wrong about Rodgers, though, he's a great fantasy QB, I'm just really analyzing this. Schaub plays in Houston against the Raiders. While the Raiders only allow 211 yards per contest, they have allowed some big plays and Schaub has thrown 7 TDs the past two weeks. 7!!! I couldn't imagine Schaub throwing for less than 220 yards and 2 TDs. Start Schaub

    BIG TRADE

Depends on league scoring, and your roster. If you could post that, I could really analyze it. From just that, though...let's break it down..... When looking at larger trades, it's easiest to break the trade down into smaller components and look at the average output your team will be putting out on a weekly basis. To put it simply, you're looking for the player combination that will give you the higher average of points each week, thus increasing your chance to win. Greg Jennings and Steven Jackson will outscore Slaton and Mason the vast majority of most weeks. If the value of Slaton and Mason was 1, Jennings and Jackson would probably land somewhere between 1.6 and 1.75. Then it's a comparison of the QB's. Obviously Brees will score more points on the average week than Edwards, but will it be enough to compensate for the difference the RB-WR combination creates? Probably not. Therefore, the person receiving S Jax, Jennings, and Edwards is getting the better deal. But again, I could better asses this trade if you included your roster and the league scoring

Time to Start 'em and Sit 'em for Week 4!

Rivers leads the league is passing yards right now, so they are going to keep letting him throw the ball. Also remember what San Diego did against Baltimore, another run-stuffing defense (like Pit), and Rivers threw for 436 yards and two scores. As for WR's, I like your choices. Start Kevin Walter for sure. I live in Houston and we love this guy. But whose on the waiver wire? If either Mike Sims-Walker (JAX WR) or Nate Burleson (SEA WR) is, I'd take a shot with one of them, as they are both facing favorable matchups and have been very consistent.
