Edge who do i take at 6th? take a chance with portis or stay safe with someone like Sjax? I am taking Rudi Johnson in my league at #4. It was Portis until ShoulderGate and I think Tiki regresses back to the mean (or worse). Edge at #5 is a GIFT to you. He should go MUCH lower. 1.08/1.

leftyguitar 0 Posted August 16, 2006 go for rudi... K9 is right, edge shouldn't be ranked that high. If he goes there its good for you. If rudi is gone, look maybe at steven jackson? please take a second and answer my quick poll question for my draft: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=221825
k9tofive 0 Posted August 17, 2006 so are you saying that i should take rudi? I am saying I am taking Rudi at #4 in a 12 teamer so I think he has a TON of value at #6. Look at it this way: Tiki Barber had a phenomenal 2005 season, gaining 1,860 rushing yards, the 11th-highest total in NFL history. But 31-year-old running backs don't repeat career years, particularly career years that also included a career-high 357 carries. Only two running backs in NFL history managed 1,500-yard seasons at age 31 or older: Curtis Martin and Walter Payton. Tiki is SURE to regress back to the mean. A partially dislocated shoulder makes Portis a greater risk to wear down this year. So if he "only" misses two (2) games his numbers will be like Westbrook or Cadillac and you would not think to take either one at #6. Edge will be on a less talented ARZ team and will stretch (and miss IMO) to hit 1200yds + 9 TDs. That leaves Rudi and his 1400 yds + 13 TDs. Good value at #6.
