My RBs suck (Bell, Leonard, Mathews, Stacey D. Williams). My WRs suck. But, I have Manning and Graham so I'm 9-1 and have most points in the league. My backup right now is Fitzpatrick, but I have an offer into a guy mostly out of it for Bell (he has Bush) for his backup, Romo. I wouldn't be thinking of this if it wasn't for Manning's gimpy ankles. This week is also trade deadline. And we're a three keeper league, so Charles is attractive there. EDIT: Twelve team league. EDIT: Charles has more than twice the points on the year than any of my RBs. Stacy might be bright spot, but the rest eat it.

I have Peyton. Worried about health. In our league, P. Manning has outscored Charles and RGIII combined by about a dozen points. Seems crazy to give up Peyton, but could be a kingmaking move if his health continues to deteriorate. Thoughts?

Ah, hell. I didn't see that draft slot pull down on the Keeper tab. That's new to this combined edition eh what? So, on the Keeper tab, for draft leagues, you need to manually enter which draft slot the player takes up, correct? If that's the case, how does the compiler options "Reset Keepers" and "Reset Draft Order and Picks" interact with the Keeper tab? Here's what I just tried: 1) Selected Chris Johnson as a keeper, put him in slot 1.01. (Checked sheets, and yes, he came off, and the summary updated. Hooray! But...) 2) Entered "yes" for the "Reset Draft Order and Picks" but "no" for "Reset Keepers". (We haven't selected draft order yet. I know who I'm keeping, but, do not know order. That's why I chose these options.) After compiling, my Keeper tab is the same and lists Johnson at 1.01, however, he is now not listed in the Summary, and he's back on the Offense and Overall tabs. Is the above how it's intended to work? Am I making any sense?

Oh, should point out that the same set up (obviously excepting those required) for my auction league performs perfectly. /boggled

You can mess with the settings in the "Overall Rankings/Custom Baselines" until you find a setting that more closely models your league. I find that "Compiler Auction Recommended" is actually pretty close to the upper limit on high tier players, but then typically over prices them in the mid/low end. Of course once things hit $1 bids it academic anyway. I suggest traveling through all the presets in the above window on Tab 4 "Options" or setting them yourself. You'll get close enough if you play with them enough. As was said above though, it's a guide. You have to know when to go off the page, and, how your own needs must adjust your own limits.

Love the combined products this year guys. Awesome job. That said, having problems with a keeper/draft league that I did not have in the past. Tab 1 Rules are set: League is designated Keeper / Cost Draft Pick / Max 3. When I assign players to teams via the pull downs on the Keeper Tab, nothing happens to the players on the Offense Tab, the Overall Tab, nor the Summary Tab. Even money is on me doing something stupid, but maybe you can help me figure out what it is. Thanks in advance! P.S. Yep, me again. These are my annual two suggestions. Probably, what, eight years running or something? (Oh, just checked my sig, TEN YEARS! I'm old.) 1) It would be triple A cool to be able set the color which the sheets highlight players on the Overall tab in order to coincide with what ever draft sticker package someone happens to be using. Now that there are only two colors possible (what's with that by the way?) this would be even more beneficial. 2) You really need to charge more money for this product. Every time I buy it I feel like I'm ripping you guys off.

I play both every year. As far as a game system goes, where your input matters most in outcome, auctions take the cake. It makes the draft, trades and pick ups, all far more complicated. I love it from a competitive standpoint. Week to week is the same. Bidding on acquisitions, managing injured reserve, plotting trades, etc... This is all more fun, more input, more play. For me, on almost every level, they are just, "better". They are newer, smarter, superior. It's a lot of work, a lot of brain. But. Man, after an auction I'm spent. We almost always do our draft after our auction. Out come the beers, up go the feet. No biggie. Who's turn is it? Oh mine? Uhm... yeah, Larry Fitz. There's something to be said for the laid back simplicity of a draft league. It's kind of like video games. No one's ever going to tell you that Adventure is a better game than Borderlands, but that doesn't mean it isn't fun to break out the 2600 every now and then.

That's a perfectly valid point. In my reply I let me own personal dislike of Williams segue itself into my point, and to no avail. He's an idiot with a gifted body his feeble mind has wasted. That's irrelevant to my point as you correctly point out. To answer your question, no I don't who the pads belong to should be an issue. I think it's crap regardless. Do I think he'd do the same to Romo? No, he probably wouldn't. That said, again, there are and should be other ways of ingratiating yourself to your new team beside participating in pranks plucked from the minds of pubescent teenagers. I wasn't mocking "one for all". Most of sports have been individual in nature, but I've been on crap teams as well. The problems ran a hell of a lot deeper than a few new kids being unwilling to sub for a few doms.
