2010 Cheatsheet Compiler / Draft Buddy

Are there Dynasty rankings? When I Import Alternate Rankings for Dynasty they go blank. The Re-Draft and Re-draft ppr work when I import them.
  2. I had Westbrook, Owens and Titans D But my opponent started Johnson, Lenwhale and Warner.

Ok, how to really beat the Pats

Once or twice on every defensive series I would give up a defensive holding penalty. Give them the 5 yards and first down. Play tight bump coverage and at the snap tackle every receiver. Brady would have nowhere to go with the ball so you send everyone else on a blitz and make sure Brady goes down. Mix this up with your other coverages and do whatever you have to to get pressure on Brady. Brady is not the same QB when he is getting pressured and hit. sit back in a zone and don't get any pressure on Brady like the Jags did and he will complet 92% of his passes. Get in his face like the Chargers did and he throws 3 int's.

I'm "calling" it right now !

Oilers Dolphins 1978, the night luv ya blue was born. Back and forth all game. Greise and Campbell. Earl scoring an 80 yard TD on his 27th carry. Howard Cosell said it was the greatest game ever.

    New Math uncovered!

It doesn't matter how my QB performs against her QB, or how my RB's perform against her RB's etc. . All that matters is that my total points are more than hers. Unless you play in some kind of positional match play league that I haven't heard about

    New Math uncovered!

Didn't Romo outscore Manning last Week? If you looked at the matchups and thought Romo was going to score more points so you started him and he does outscore Manning I don't see how that strategy could be flawed. Now I would've started Manning against the Saints over Romo but starting the player you thought would score the most points cannot be flawed if he actually does score the most points.
  7. If Moss can stay healthy he will have a big year, but he hasn't been healthy for a full year since 2003. If I owned him that would be my biggest worry.
  8. From the reaction from some other athletes and reading how many people are involved around the country its hard to believe Vick is the only NFL player involved. I wouldn't be surprised if every team had someone involved including some other big names.

    They Peyton Manning Theory

Picking a great player in the first round won't win you a championship, but picking a bust in the first round can make if very hard to win a championship. I have never taken Manning in the first round but I would consider taking him late in the first round. There are no guarantees in fantasy football but Manning being a top 3 QB is as close to a guarantee that you will find. Before the season all the top 12 RB's on anyones draft sheet are expected to have great years but history shows us that there will be a few first round RB bust like Caddy, Brown and Jordan last year.

    Why handcuff anybody?

Handcuffing can also work when you have a guy like Westbrook who seems to always be listed as questionable on the inury report. I had him last year so I drafted Buckhalter with a late pick. Most leagues allow you to switch starters until kickoff so If he is playing a Sunday or Monday night game and becomes a late scratch I know I can put in Buckhalter and at least get some points. If all your other backs play in Sunday early games you would have to take a 0 at a RB spot if the Eagles play a late game and Westbrook doesn't play. It happened once last year, I think it was a Monday night game that Westbrook missed and alot of owners were pissed cuz they couldn't start anyone else. Buckhalter didn't do much but at least I didn't have an empty RB spot.

    Wayne or TO

I think it depends on how much risk you want to take. TO has a higher upside. If he stays healthy and Romo plays well he could get 1500/15. But he has missed time in the last few years and isn't getting any younger so he could miss time again this year. Also if Romo starts slow in his second year as starter there could be some attitude problems with TO as well. He could end up with 700/7 Wayne doesn't have as much upside. He will proabably get 1200/10. He's younger than TO and hasn't had any injury issues so there is less chance of missing time. As well he doesn't have any QB issues so the chances of him getting less than 1000/8 are slim.

    top 15 wrs

Anyone else think Javon Walker is ranked too low on most lists? He broke out in his 3rd year for almost 1400 yards and 12 TD's. Then had the knee injury. He did alot better last year than I thought he would, I thought he would struggle the first year back from the injury. Over 1000 yds and 8 Td's plus a long TD run playing with a rookie QB. Alot of players coming back from serious knee injuries have a big improvement the second year back. With Cutler having some experience and Walker being 100% I think he'll be a top 10 WR and approach a top 5 if Cutler progresses.

    Vick to be suspended?

Since he's been involved in dog fighting for 30 years I'm assuming he's facing charges himself and is telling the authorities whatever they want to hear to get his prison time reduced. This should be looked into by the NCAA as well. If Vick could afford to throw around $40 000 when he was still at VT then there has to be alot of cash being paid to the top college football players. Its one thing to get a free place to stay for your family, or gifts , but to get hundreds of thousands of dollars cash is more than I thought was going on.

    Dominoes

I seem to remember Moss was "decent" with Cunningham tossing the rock.

    Favourite football quotes?

"People used to tell me Earl couldn't finish a mile run, hell I don't care, if it is 4th and a mile I ain't gonna give him the ball." Bum Phillips on Earl Campbell Oiler coach Bum Phillips: When asked by Bob Costas why he takes his wife on all the road trips, Phillips responded, "Because she is too damn ugly to kiss goodbye." when bum phillips was asked if earl campbell was in a class by himself: "well, he may not be in a class by hisself, but it don't take very long to take attendance." A few from John McKay, the Bucs first coach: When a reporter asked what he thought of the Buccaneer’s execution following a loss-- "I think it's a good idea." "We didn't tackle well today but we made up for it by not blocking." "We can't win on the road, and we can't win at home. My biggest failure as a coach is I can't figure out anywhere else to play" New Orleans Saint RB George Rogers when asked about the upcoming season: "I want to rush for 1,000 or 1,500 yards, whichever comes first."
