That and I read something a few weeks back about them being MUCH better on the road this year. I grabbed the bears DST this week mostly to block. After reading this thread I started hearing the quiet whisper of self sabotage saying maybe I should play them instead. I think I am sticking with JAX unless there is major injury or weather news that changes between now and kickoff.

Would you play the Bears over Jax this week? Would you play any DST over Jax?

Full PPR: QB - Rivers vs. Big Ben WR1 - M. Thomas vs. Thielen WR2 - Baldwin vs. Ju Ju S-S RB1 - McCoy vs Gurley RB2 - Hunt vs Drake Flex - Crabtree vs Landry TE - Olsen vs D. Walker K - Elliot vs. Butker DST - Jax vs. NE Bench: First team has a bench comprised of Winston, Brate, Clay and a medley of hot garbage. The second team has Antonio Brown, Fournette, Josh Gordon, J. White, Fuller, M. Bryant and Mariota.

Post your team if you made it to your league finals!

Picking up Olsen 3 weeks ago and starting him yesterday. Went to swap him out for Brate 5 minutes before kickoff and stopped myself.

Sanu to not outscore Jimmy Smith's full PPR high water mark from September 10, 2000.

There is no way anyone here can determine the intent. It is much much much more likely that collusion was not involved than a 20 year league owner who is out of the playoffs tanking a game as part of a collusive effort with a five seed. Most five seeds are looking to move DOWN to avoid a second round matchup with the 1 seed. It is just as likely that the guy had a a disappointing team or made some bad roster decisions throughout the year and intentionally decided to pick his worst lineup just to see what would happen or as a final FU to his team.. I have gone with "reverse psychology" contrarian decision making when every single 50-50 call goes wrong for weeks in a row. I could see doing it as a protest to the FF gods for my entire team in the last week if I had a whole season like that so long as long as it didn't affect anyone else. It's not like he left the spots empty. Who he starts and sits is his decision. If he his scrubs had gone off this week would you still be investigating?
-
And I am curious how you knew that the team was locked into the #5 seed but there is a question that the 20 year league veteran would somehow not be aware of that?
-
If the seeding for the team that was in was locked and he was out, what was the issue? If he wants to make a statement by starting whoever to put a turd finish on the end of a disappointing year then that's his prerogative so long as it had no impact on any other teams in the league. If it had an impact on seeding or who made the playoffs then that would be a completely different question. I think the suggestions are coming from people looking to stir the pot when there is no issue.

I have Olsen, Brate AND Clay to choose from and I could pick up Anderson for any of them. I am leaning Olsen. I know his floor is zero so it is easiest to manage expectations. Brate is downright infuriating to start. Buffalo's QB situation plus the fact I am starting McCoy makes banking over 40% of my roster and 100% off my playoff hopes on the Bills just seems like a recipe for disaster. That and Miami's D did manage to keep Gronk to 0 points last week.

Worth anything?

Saints at Falcons: In-Game Discussion / Tilting
neil2222 replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
Exactly. The guy was playing the Saints backfield for his TWO RB positions. If Ingram was gimpy from the toe, the expectation would be that Kamara outperform to make up for it. If Kamara got hit by a bus on the way to the stadium, the expectation was that Ingram would pick up the slack. If you had Ingram alone and started him, you probably are mildly disappointed against expectations prior to the game. If you started Kamara AND Ingram projecting 40 something points in PPR, then you look at this is those guys pretty much laying an egg. -
Differential is a good compromise. My favorite playoff tiebreaker is Def/ST points... Because Defense Wins Championships.

Why not do total points against rather than points for? Give the tiebreaker to the person that had the most points scored against them since it is wholly outside of their control. Give the playoff position to the person that just had the bad luck of going up a tougher schedule. It's not like you can play defense to limit how many points the other team scores. It's the one thing that is completely outside of an owner's control that has a significant impact on the results.
