We have done online auctions the last 4 years and for the most part it works. Some things to check and watch for: 1) Check with site you are going to use to make sure it can accomdate your roster format 2) For ESPN, all auction participants had to sign up for an account 1 hour prior to the start otherwise your draft would be cancelled 3) There can be lag when bidding depending on network condtions and/or computer hardware. One owner got a steal because the timer wasn't refreshing fast enough on people's computer. 4) Some site require updates to flash or some other plug in. Also, some browsers might not be supported. All of this should be resolved prior to the draft and not last minute. Having everyone create an account and logging in to the auction site a day before the draft helps. 5) We had a draft where two people's computers kept crashing becase they had tons of viruses on their machines. That sucked since it was a lot of waiting. The next year they both got new computers.

What's the WORST LEAGUE you have ever played in?
808state replied to Giants Fan's topic in FFToday Board
Playing in a league full of deadbeats. I won the title and didn't get paid...didn't even get my buy in back. The following year the new commish, who never paid his buy in, says going forward everyone has to pay to play. What a novel concept...told him I wasn't interested. -
Seems like a number of wr put up monster games. Roddy, Brit, sjohnson, etc...is this a result of defensive players holding up on hits? Any thoughts on his being a trend? I think the wr come back down to earth next week with def going back to hitting.

Thanks for the response pimptastic The acquiring team would get to keep the player for two more years. The trade year would count as 1 year.

I run keeper league that has a 3 year keeper limit. This year we are hitting the keeper limit for the first time and I'm trying to figure out how to handle trade deadlines and/or compensation. Right now if a 3rd year keeper remains on the same owners roster at the end of the year they will lose the player without compensation. 1) Should I keep the week 13 trade deadline or extend it to the end of the playoffs? 2) Should I offer compensation (extra auction money) for owners that will lose their keepers because they hung onto a player? Any other ideas are appreciated. Thanks.

If nobody is biting on cutler, either package him with another player or deal Vick. Romo should be fine down the stretch. In my leagues people won't trade for qbs unless they are elite or the hot qb.

That fixed it. Thanks Mike

I don't see any player names in the drop down for an owner's keeper selection. Drop down doesn't open. Running Vista/Office 2007 1) Enabled macros on compiler and buddy 2) updated cheatsheets on the compiler 3) selected keepers from the setup tab on compiler 4) clicked setup draft buddy button 5) drop down below owner is empty Am I missing something? Thanks!

Kitna because it should be a shootout.

If Taylor is limited, then MJD would be the better threat to score multiple TDs.

i think you have to stick with AJ as well.
