Turbin goes down too easily when he runs. Just watch any of his carries from last year. He has a giant upper body, but his balance doesn't look that great
-
Has any player been more overhyped than Michael Turner?

And next week he might not be. More importantly, you know by next year he is going to be starting somewhere. In a dynasty format, that, combined with the fact that he is a RB makes him more valuable than any other RB coming out in the draft this year except Peterson IMO. -
Michael Vick, quite possibly the best there is.

Schaub is a restricted free agent this year. Falcons would get plenty for him if they give him the highest tender (1st and 3rd). -
Romo, Eli, Rivers, Roethlisberger, Leinhart, Grossman

Watch football lately? -
It looked to me like he had crossed, but it was really quick. Too bad CT had to drop it at all.
-
I think MeMo would have the most value, but it probably would be RBBC between MeMo, Pinner and Fason, IMO.
-
You are wrong about Barber getting almost all of his work in "garbage time." There have been two games in which Barber got a lot of fourth quarter carries because the Cowboys were way ahead. In all of the rest of the games Barber plays the role of the 3rd down back, and designated short yardage and goal-line back. He is not more talented than JJ, but he is definitely more of a power runner between the tackles than JJ. That is why Barber is so much better at the GL.

I love Perry, but his value is going to be below other promising backups like Turner and Norwood because of his injury history. He is starting to look brittle.
-
So, people are getting their panties in a bunch over a backup who comes in and does well as a third down back when teams are playing off the line and try to compare him to a guy who is the primary focus of the defense every week? This is classic stat mongering without understanding the game. If Taylor goes out, Mo Drew will get crushed as a full time back.
-
Mike Turner is the better guy to have. He already has FF value as an RB3, and will become LJ-esque if LT goes down. For the future, Turner is a RFA and could be on another team next year. Norwood is exciting, but people have been undervaluing Dunn for years and he keeps ticking. Even if Dunn retires, Atlanta likely would bring in a "thunder" type back to complement Norwood, IMO.
-
Turner is a restricted free agent this year. He would be top 10 for sure if LT went down, maybe top 5. Benson won't be too valuable unless TJ is completely out of the picture (which is possible due to injury). I would rather have Turner because of the upside and the fact that he is playing his way into a spot starter RB3.

Bratwurst: I don't think you can count on a true RBBC with Turner getting a planned ratio of carries above, say 10% at this point. This is not the Priest/LJ situation (yet) where Priest was getting 2/3 of the carries and LJ was getting every third series. Priest had been injured the year before and KC clearly wanted to keep him fresh. LT has not broken down much at all. Until he does, it will be LT as the franchise back getting 80% of the carries. Maybe SD runs so much that Turner's gets 100 plus carries, but SD would need to run an extraordinary number of times for that to happen and Turner's carries would still be situational, like last week when SD blanked Oakland and was just trying to run out the clock. If Oakland hadn't fumbled deep in its own territory Turner may not have scored. I am excited about Turner's prospects and think he is LJ talented. But he won't get an LJ type opportunity for a share of a RBBC unless LT really breaks down. SD is not going to try to do much to "preserve" LT unless he shows he can't handle the 30 carry load.
-
Turner may be a top 5 back if LT is completely out.

Everything the Vikes are doing indicates that they are focusing on the run game. Did Philly bring in a top blocking FB for Westbrook? Did they sign a massive contract for the best guard in the league? I heard that Childress wanted to run a lot more in Philly but Reid ignored him.

I for sure will not pick...in this years redraft!

Taylor carried the load while Jamal Lewis was suspended for four games in 2004 and he did well: 21-89 against Buff 18-78 against Philly 16-61 against NE 23-139 against Cincy He also went for 25-104 against the Giants Taylor may have played the role of 3rd down back last year, but the reason Taylor is perceived as being able to carry the load and do well as the primary back is largely because of his performance as a starter in 2004.
