  1. Parker Cutler will just keep forcing it to him regardless of the call or coverage.
  2. Not thin, just willing to gamble. I think of all weeks, this is the week to play him. He played all but 6 snaps and appears to have made it through healthy. He caught all 4 of his targets and the game wining TD, so it would seem Eli still trusts him. This is his home opener and the first time playing in front of a home crowd for a team and fan base that has stuck by him for essentially two years of rehab. I'm not saying he will out score OBJ, but I have to believe they plan to try and get him at least one TD if at all possible. That is worth a flex start for me. Maybe I'm wrong, and I wouldn't drop anyone vital... But I'm wondering if the fantasy community (what have you done lately) has maybe written him off to soon. His team certainly hasn't. And while Shepard is clearly the future, if Cruz is 80% of his old self, I think he could be a steal (free almost everywhere) for as long as he stays healthy...

    what's up with Roddy White

Shanny offense feeds the number 1 and leaves not much else. Hankerson I believe is working as the number 2. So Roddy will probably continue to have a minimal roll. If Julio gets hurt and misses time, I think Roddy will be the one to own however..... Just don't see Ryan feeding hankerson at the same rate as Julio now.
  4. Fwiw, my league has been together for 12+ seasons. 10 team keeper: QB/3WR/2RB/TE/2FLEX/K/DST 7 bench. Think the extra flex is fine as long as it's TE eligible as well. We've had owners dominate in the past with Gronk/Hernadez combo and Graham/JT few years ago. It simulates a deeper 12-14 team league somewhat. Heck we used this same lineup with 12 teams the first few years. Key is keep the bench tight, maybe add an IR if you have keepers. A small bench makes owners trade or use the waiver and plan... Not just hoard anyone with a pulse. Downside is sometimes it takes the challenge out of lineup setting. You often have no choice, just play the healthy guys. A bad string of injuries makes for rough times, forces you to sell for pennies on the dollar. Sometimes the team with the best players doesn't win the day, the team with the best depth and health wins the day. As you go deeper in lineup, the waiver gets pretty empty. Bowe and Crabtree are owned in our league, bench players, but owned. And they will likely start at least once for the owners. Sure these guys are waiver fodder in most leagues. It's about what your league mates likes... No right or wrong. I personally like deeper lineups. I like having to find OBJ two weeks before he blows up, not just be the high bidder after the fact. And having the balls to cut a warm producing body to chance on him.

    Kyle Rudolph

Good thing they gave him that huge pile of money to sit on. Those benches are hard by comparison. Not saying Ford isn't without talent, and maybe has chemistry/trust with Teddy that Kyle will need to work on. But really? He has lost his job after they give him a huge contract and they felt it was a bargain to get it done early? I guess stranger things have happened though.

    Anyone trade J. Graham?

Traded him and T. Williams for A Brown 2 weeks ago. Was in the same boat, Rudolph sitting on the WW and Julius is my other TE. HTH

    2014 excel projections are done

A: This is pure awesome. Thanks B: Did I mention A? C: Issue I noticed when making an account, (register username, email, password). And then when linking to the sheets it asks you to log in... Using Chrome the User field is populated with email addy. Maybe that's why some people have trouble. D: Again using Google sheets... Eddie Lacy name is almost invisible (Yellow font maybe) E: NOT NITPICKING... again see A, just a heads ups as you refine/present to others. Thanks for the hard work.

Keeper League - Trading Draft picks

I'd love to hear how other people make this work in their keeper leagues as well. It has been proposed by one of my owners. My biggest concern at the moment is a team trading away 4-5 picks, like you mentioned, and then not coming back. No one will want to step into a team that has to sit out so many rounds of the draft. There are tools out there that help compare picks. i.e. is a first round worth a 3rd and 7th. But it is hard enough to compare players and determine fair value, now when you toss in picks+players it seems to get messy. It's been suggested it be a 1 for 1, 2 for 2 type of transaction. i.e. no Player for picks. So equal number of player/picks coming and going. This seems to make the most sense as far as determining value and making sure it helps both teams.

    Slow Draft Wedsite

You could always use Google drive/docs to host a spreadsheet so everyone can view and then just conduct it via email. There are a couple of good templates available. I've done it this way for the past 3-4 years and it works well. I can post the link up on the league homepage and everyone can see it in real-time from any android/apple device. Just make sure you are the only person with edit rights and your good to go. example: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0As3-MgaGIyw2dHJxTDZ4U1JvSWpWa3M4NVpJYVBTTHc&usp=drive_web#gid=0 Hope that helps.

    Giants homers: Reuben Randle?

That's just it... I grabbed him late in a keeper hoping with Cruz locked up Randle would be the future and was surprised how serviceable he has been. He has show flashes but also is the cause of what 15-20% of Eli's INT? plus other mental errors. I had been using him but Week 8 ZERO against the BEST match-up in Philly was a huge disappointment. Now I look back and wonder (without having seen the game) if Nicks was on display to try and get the 2nd they were asking for him? Or are they going to just and ride Nick until he breaks or proves he is worth a contract? Little nervous to use Randle but I'm happy I have him for next year.
  11. Just what I was thinking. I think with any top 3 player you need to offer a top 4-15 of the same position and a top 10 at another. If I had Calvin dealing him for TY and Moreno or McCoy would be easy to accept. Heck even Williams but that is because Dez has back issues and Miles is done... So I might just take the gamble.

    Giants homers: Reuben Randle?

Any chance his lack of play time week 8 was due to an effort to showcase Nicks before the trade deadline? I know Cruz was banged up right? Thought I read somewhere Jernigan was playing slot because Randle can't? I'm desperate and I did have in my lineup for that 0 game... but the prior weeks he was fine despite some of the boneheaded mistakes. Giants have to force feed him to see what they have right? Hmmm Randle in a nice matchup or Shorts in a tough one.
  13. I think the Fred Jackson for Calvin would be the only one I'd even respond to. Not knowing your scoring Fred has done well and even though Spiller is coming on I think Fred for Andre would be fine. I think your offers are fair. I'm in the opposite camp loaded at RB but Cobb and Blackmon in a start 3 league have left me desperate and everyone thinks that I'll sell guys like Bush or Moreno for Colston or Wallace. The only viable trade partner has Calvin and is willing to sell but only for Bush/Moreno plus a Stacy or Lacy. Tough to overpay... I'm just stubborn enough to let them rot on my bench while starting waiver trash every week.

BEST move you have made so far this season

Three way tie. Backed up my 1st round pick Richardson with my 20th round pick Moreno. Moved Andre Brown to the IR slot and added Julius Thomas to backup Graham. And scored Stacy for a $1. Outbid on Allen by a buck in the same waiver.
