All Out Blitz - Week 4

Doug, would you consider updating your Big Boards now that we're through the 1st quarter of the season? Would be a great resource for comparing players when trading, and identifying potential keepers for next year. I rely on them heavily when drafting, and would love to see how they've evolved now that the season is in full swing and depth charts have shaken out, injuries, etc.

    Flex Help

Starters: Romo Charles Woodhead Garcon Gordon Cameron Bryant Panthers 1pt ppr Need help with my flex: Wallace Spiller Alshon Jeffrey Thinking about rolling with Spiller. Wallace could easily put up a goose-egg, and it's been a crap-shoot whether Jeffery or Marshall has the big day. Thanks for the help!

The All-Out Blitz - Taking suggestions

I agree with SaintinDome2006. AOB is the best read of the week - but I don't think any of us need to read another article about the top 24 WR/RBs and top 12 QB/TEs. There's plenty of those articles everywhere. I'm in a competitive keeper league and exploring the trends of those bottom and next-year keepers are a huge benefit. Especially being able to grab them prior to their breakout. Doug, wish you would post more on the forums - been missing you lately!

    All Out Blitz: Getting Defensive

Doug, consistently my favorite read of the week - thanks. Quick question: I may have the ability to acquire Roddy White - but I currently have Matt Ryan and Julio Jones. Is this stupid? My current receivers are Jones, Lloyd, Hartline, Gordon & Washington (start 2). Roddy would definitely be an upgrade over Lloyd - but putting all my eggs in one basket is a bit terrifying. Would love your thoughts...

Which 3 of 4 to keep?

so, one more wrinkle to this - I decided I would keep McCoy, Sims-Walker and Nicks. I was just offered Arian Foster straight up for Nicks - they are both 12th round keepers. Should I do it? If so, my draft would look like this: 1. MJD 5.McCoy 11.Sims-Walker 12. Arian Foster Seems I would be sitting pretty good at RB, and then I could concentrate on WR and QB in rounds 2/3.

Which 3 of 4 to keep?

12 team, PPR, 3 keepers I have the 2nd pick in our draft - so will probably be getting MJD (CJ will be someone's keeper). McCoy would cost a 5th round pick - ADP is currently 3.11 Sims-Walker would cost 12th round pick - ADP currently 5.06 Nicks would cost a 12th round pick - ADP currently 5.09 Forsett would cost a 12th round pick - ADP currently 6.01 I'm leaning towards keeping McCoy (not the BEST value, but should be solid), and the 2 receivers - but Forsett is nagging on me because he could eventually be the man in Seattle. But with MJD, McCoy, Nicks and Sims-Walker - and still having 2, 3 & 4th round picks (RB, QB, WR) it seems I would be in a good situation. Would love to hear your opinions.
  9. Hi All- We've had a league going for 6 years on CBS, and are just completing the first year in a transition to a keeper league. So next year will be the first year we can keep players. I wish there was a way for the player pages to indicate when each player was drafted in our league - does anyone know if there is a way to do this (aside from looking each player up in the draft results section)? I guess I don''t set the league rules to "keeper" until next year, as that will be when we first keep players - will that change things? Any help or thoughts from fellow keeper leaguers would be great!

    Flex Help

Starters: RB Westbrook RB K. Smith WR Owens WR Jennings Flex Sammy Morris, Chester Taylor, Sproles or Bryant Johnson? Looks like it only took 2 weeks to make my strategy of drafting key backups start to pan out. But I'm really stumped on how to play things this week. Today (Friday) should give me some more info on who practices and who doesn't. Would love to hear some of your thoughts. Most of these guys could have big days, or zip. What's the safest play for week 3?

    Lineup Help, Opinions Please!

Great, week 1 and I already need help. .5 ppr league, 6 pts. per TD Starting lineup is: QB Palmer RB Westbrook RB K. Smith WR Owens WR Flex TE Cooley K Crosby DST Seahwaks So, I'm trying to figure out WR2 and Flex. Here's my options: Jennings, Burleson, Fargas. I also have Chester Taylor. I'm leaning towards Jennings as WR2 and Burleson as my Flex. But what about Fargas. If he's shouldering the load this week and splitting carries, then he would make a good flex - but Burleson and Jennings are both starting WRs. If I go with Fargas, then which WR is my #2? or do I scrap Fargas and go 3 WRs this week? What do you guys think?

    3rd Pick...Advice Please

Thanks everyone for your advice. Seems I will try to avoid getting caught up in the Brady hype and stick to my usual plan.

    3rd Pick...Advice Please

I know, I know...such a horrible problem to have! I'm sure you all feel bad for me. So, here's my dillema: Do I go with Westy or Brady? I'm in the 1st year of a .5 PPR Keeper league (next year will be the first year to keep players). 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1RB/WR, 1TE, 1K, 1DST. QBs score 6pts per TD I have NEVER taken a QB before the 4th round. Usually it was Manning, then a lot of parity - and you could always grab someone that was serviceable. I always subscribed to the 2 RBs in the first 2 rounds theory. But now, I could probably take Brady, then an elite WR (Colston), then a decent RB, then maybe even one of the top 3 TEs in the 4th. Or I go Westy, maybe Willie Parker/Colston and wait on the QB. I need some advice, Thanks!
