If your definition of a stud is "there's no way he'll get me negative points because he's on a bye", then Andre Roberts is a stud this week for sure.

AZ homer here. Powell looked really good in preseaon (against second stringers), and he looked strong last week. He moved the ball well, and there was a noticeable difference in the O vs. when Stephens-Howling was in. But, he blew the handoff when Kolb was hurt, so Whisenhunt might keep the split more in favor of Stephens-Howling. Skelton is a veeeery stiff QB, and doesn't have any of the scrambling ability that Kolb had. Might impact the Cards' ability to run the ball this week (which was going to be difficult regardless against the Vikes ). Long-term, though, I think Powell will be solid.

So...let me get this straight. IF your team's rebuilding plan works, you want to celebrate with some dude sucking your balls?

But, that's one of my biggest issues with how these rankings work. Young had some decent games during the Titan's turnaround, but I feel the defense had MUCH more to do with that. Young was merely a decent QB on a great defensive team. Warner's 2008 season was THE reason the Cards made the playoffs, and almost won the Super Bowl. Looking further at the list, however, how can Chad Pennington's 2008 season be sixth overall? I doubt anyone would claim that, even for one season, Pennington was one of the six best quarterbacks in the league. I guess we'll see how this all plays out, but if they release rankings from previous years and Dilfer is ANYWHERE in the top 10, I'm calling shenanigans

Hey steelers2101, Thanks for the explanation and clarification; but, while Dilfer might have just been a small contributor to the actual formula, they introduced him on the special as a major part of the system. And while I appreciate your obvious passion for the system and respect your opinion, I disagree. As a previous poster stated, there's NO way that Vince Young's abbreviated season with 10 TDs and 7 INTs was ANYWHERE in the neighborhood of Warner's season. For now, I'll stick with the stats that matter most to me, fantasy-wise, as the gauge for QBs.

I was watching until they introduced one of the main contributers to the rating...the immortal Trent Dilfer. No thanks.
