It is just before our veteran draft (we had a 2 round rookie draft already). We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX, 1 K, 1 DST. There are points per reception. My team: (#) = Contract years left QB: E. Manning (4) & P. Rivers (3) RB: S. Alexander (K), R. Droughns (3), W. Parker (1) WR: C. Johnson (K), M. Harrison (2), R. Williams (3), M. Jones (2) TE: T. Heap (2) Practice Squad (Cannot trade or use in '06-'07): D. Williams, C. Houston, & L. Pope I have been offered the following trade: Ahman Green and pick 6.7 for M. Jones His team: QB: T. Green & V. Young RB: C. Portis, A. Green, F. Gore, and B. Calhoun WR: R. Moss TE: L.J. Smith & B. Troupe K: S. Janikowski D: Bears Practice Squad (Cannot trade or use in '06-'07): R. White & R. Moats My thought is to counter this trade: M. Jones for Green & his 4.10 pick. He had been willing (before he was informed of the rules) to trade the 1.1 pick and White for Jones. Thoughts? BeeefyTaco 0 Posted August 20, 2006 Your RB depth is great. Matt Jones has huge potential in the years to come. Green has been on the downslide of his career, I dont like him at all. Personally, I'd keep Matt Jones or even consider what you countered for his 4th/10th. Green won't do much for you however with your other RBs THx for the reply! Cuse9 128 Posted August 20, 2006 No, I wouldn't do it. I think Jones has a very bright future. Ahman is on his way down...dont' even know if he'll be healthy this year!! I'd hang onto Jones.
