Am I wrong or do both Texas and Arizona have relaxed gun laws? How come so many are willing to break in to a house knowing the home owner is probably armed?

My daughter is 2 1/2 and the wife is going back to school. She left for her 4 hour class, kid wakes up 20 minutes later. Starts with the Mommy? Mommy? over and over. She hasn't stopped screaming for 45 minutes.
I spend alone time with her often. She of course has mommy withdrawal at times but this is crazy. It won't stop no matter what I do.
