Detasseling corn as a teenager was a nightmare. In hybrid seed corn fields, most of the rows must be detasseled to prevent unwanted pollination. It basically involves walking rows with long pants and a long sleeve shirt in the hottest part of summer - pulling out the tassels. Good times...
