Tacks 0 Posted December 18, 2008 Pick one Kurt Warner @ NE (bad weather expected) Tyler Thigpen vs MIA Matt Schaub @ OAK Thinking of starting Schaub. At least I know weather won't be a factor. PPR league Need 2RBs, 2WRs, and one Flex Pierre Thomas @ DET Chris Johnson vs PIT Gore/Foster @ STL Barber/Choice vs BAL Roddy White @ MIN Steve Smith @ NYG (bad weather expected) Calvin Johnson vs NO Deion Branch vs NYJ Donald Driver @ CHI Right now Pierre Thomas, Calvin Johnson, Roddy White are no brainers. Am I overthinking Steve Smith and Warner due to the weather. Also, over thinking CJ3 due to tough matchup vs PIT? Please help. I will answer yours! All_The_Way 0 Posted December 18, 2008 even with the weather i would have to play steve smith.. its a very important game.. with their rushing game.. it will provide at least 2 deep balls to smith and he has the best hands in the game IMO.. CJ does have a tough matchup.. and i think pit will load up the box to force titans to throw.. and they will struggle. you do have tough matchups against your RB's.. i really couldn't give you any good advice on it. Just leave a link If weather does concern you (heck, I'm deciding between Warner and Garrard, who plays tonight), I'd go with Shaub who has been on fire. Thomas and Gore/Foster. If you don't want to wait on game time decision for Gore/Foster, I say Chris Johnson White, Johnson, and S. Smith with the 3rd WR being the flex http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...=337005&hl=
PoSSoM 0 Posted December 18, 2008 thanks for your reply concerned about weather for cards and last week's play. you answered mine and suggested sitting fitz, so your own advice confirms a schaub start here. start thomas and gore or foster. whichever starts should succeed against STL. even with his recent success i cant see starting branch over smith so roll with johnson/smith/white! Lesman 1 Posted December 18, 2008 Unless the weather is just downright blizzard or Ice storm, stick with Warner. Should be a high scoring game for NE. Warner always scores his best points when playing catch up. Otherwise, I;d start Thiggy over Shaub. With the exception of last week. OAK has kept opposing passing games in check this year. I'd go with Thomas and Gore/Foster based on matchups. CJ is probably one of the guys that go you here, but PIT is a brick wall, and I don; think he'll do much. Johnson, Smith and White, regardless of matchups.
