BiGGuy53 0 Posted August 4, 2006 I've been offered Deuce McCallister and Chris Brown for Tatum Bell and a 2nd Round draft pick (#22 overall). I do need help at RB, but the injury woes of Duece and Brown gives me pause. If Deuce didn't have the knee issue, I'd probably snatch him up, even with Reggie Bush coming into the picture. On the other hand, I love Bell's potential. He's only been in the league 3 years and still has the potential to be a RB stud (either at Denver or if he ever gets traded). I'm not a fan of Chris Brown. Never have been. And now he has LenDale White to contend with. Ack. So I'm essentially interested in Deuce, but is he worth the risk? Any thoughts would be appreciated. jagermeister 0 Posted August 4, 2006 Who will likely be available with the 2nd round pick you would be giving up? Who are your other running backs?
BiGGuy53 0 Posted August 4, 2006 Who will likely be available with the 2nd round pick you would be giving up? Who are your other running backs? My other RBs are Priest Holmes, Curtis Martin, Cedric Houston, Tatum Bell, Ryan Moats and Michael Bennett. (I was in great shape two years ago.) We get to keep six players, so I'm inclined to keep Martin, Houston and Bell (the other slots are for my QB-McNabb and WRs-Driver and D. Jackson). I have two picks in the first round of the draft (the second I aquired in a trade). I'll likely pick up a rookie RB like Addai, Maroney, DeAngelo and/or LenDale, depending on who's available. I think Mike Anderson and Ron Dayne also available if I can't nab two rookies. As far as who'll they'll get in the second round, who knows. They'll take the best available. In this league, a second round pick is essentially a 8th round pick since each owner gets to keep six players (which I think is too many, but that's another issue). jagermeister 0 Posted August 4, 2006 Given your running backs, make that trade for sake of having two players who will be touching the ball...but try to keep that 2nd round pick.
BiGGuy53 0 Posted August 5, 2006 Given your running backs, make that trade for sake of having two players who will be touching the ball...but try to keep that 2nd round pick. Thanks for the advice. That's what I was thinking, but I don't have much else to offer in addition to Bell.
