Vetman 0 Posted August 30, 2006 Keepers are based on draft position from previous year. 5 points for 1st rounder, 4 points for 2nd, etc., 1 point for 5th rounder and beyond. You can keep a total of 5 points worth of keepers. In a 14 team league, talent is spread pretty thin. My keepers are McGahee (3 pts), Galloway (1 pt), and Big Ben ( 1 pt). Start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Def/ST. Scoring is 1pt/15 yds rush/rec., 1pt/25 yds passing. 6 Pts for any TD. -3 pts for fumbles/interceptions. Here is my dilemma. In the first two rounds I am drafting in the 1.11 and 2.04 spots, then not again until the 3.11 spot (Serpentine based on last years finish). The RBs in the top 3 tiers that are still on the board to start the 1st round of the draft are: LT, SAlex, LaMont, Rudi, Edge, Portis, and Westy. In addition, Manning will be available in the 1st round, plus all of the top 3 tier WRs except for Chambers, SMoss, and TGlenn. I was originally hoping that when the keeper list came out I would still have the ability to matchup a Ronnie Brown or Caddy with Willis with my pick at 1.11, but no luck. Certainly, LT or SAlex, or even Manning for that matter, will not fall to me with the 11th pick So, should I abandon my strategy to grab a RB and jump on stud WRs with my first two picks? Man, 14 team leagues are killers, ...they require you to manage every day of the season!
Clinker26 0 Posted August 30, 2006 Thank you for your in-depth analysis of mine If you do go Wr Wr your RB's will be incredibly weak but you may have no choice if some of the top WR's are available. I'd still try to take at least one RB maybe in the second round.

There are some decent mid-round guys to consider: T. Jones/M. Barber/W. Lundy.
uwis1 0 Posted August 31, 2006 I would target Gore with that first pick. I think he will be the breakout player this year even on that bad team. Then I would go WR in the second. please help with this trade issue http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=226570
