QB Trouble

League is -6 pts for and turnover, and 6 pts per touchdown.

 

Right now I'm planning on starting Johnson, but maybe somebody can give me a good reason to start Vick.

-6 for a turnover? Then definitely start Johnson. He is much more of a game manager.

for sure go with brad in this case. vick is far too turnover prone...fumbles and int......brad may not be as flashy but hell get the job done

I am not a huge fan of Johnson against WAS, but I really don't like Vick against the Panthers. This is a classic risk/reward play. With Johnson you know what you will get 200-250 with 1-2 TD's and 0-1 Ints, but with Vick you really don't know he could throw for 250 and 3 TDs or throw for 125 with 3 Ints. In this case I would stick with Johnson.

I would not play Vick until he proves himself. I had him LY and it was just not a reliable play ever. He still has some upside but go with Johnson for now

Thanks guys. I was also factoring in that starting 2 of Portis/Taylor/Foster and Driver/Evans gives me something where I just need the QB get not lose the game for me. 200 yards and 1 TD should be plenty for my team.

 

I can hope that Vick goes out and proves himself. I was the last person to take a QB and Vick was still there amazingly enough. I just couldn't pass that up.

It depends on how badly you need a big day out of that spot IMO. If you're projecting your wk 1 opponent to beat you easily, and you're willing to go high risk/high reward, go with Vick. If you don't want to take any chances, stick with Johnson.
