lv_2_hack 0 Posted September 15, 2006 My rb's and wrs: RB: Caddy, Ronnie Brown, Willie Parker WR: Steve Smith, Darrel Jackson, Stallworth, Housh I'm scared of the Smith injury and think that Gore is going to be a good back. I think I could probably make a caddy or parker trade for a Holt or Harrison type wr. WHat do you think? Should I wait the Steve Smith thing out?? Leave a link, will answer yours! FantasyAddict 2 Posted September 15, 2006 I've been down on SSmith this year and love Gore. Do it. That said, this would deplete you at WR, so you should be trying to shop Caddy (or Jordan after a good game, whenever that is!) for a better WR http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=233156
Dascoopman 0 Posted September 15, 2006 Im in the same boat as you with Steve Smith but I think Parker and Brown will be good enough for you until Smith gets healthy, cause I know he will and if you trade him I think you would regret it, especially with your the WR's youd have left, I think youll be fine with Parker and Brown and Stallworth and Housh until Smith than having Parker or Brown or Gore and then Stallworth or Housh or Djack only to pick from at WR unless you think you can get Holt or Harrison for sure I wouldn't risk it. Thanks for the help
just_want_2_win 0 Posted September 15, 2006 I had SS last year and he was great but always worried about his hammys, temper, and the ability for teams to key on him and make disappear. This hammys held last year but his temper almost cost me a playoff game (I squeaked by despite his 0 and eventually won the league title but he kept disappointing down the line and I kept sitting Chambers for him). I say this year the hammys look like trouble. I think also Carolina will spread the wealth some -- he'll still have good numbers don't get me wrong but I don't expect them to match last years. However, Gore is fragile and one game doesn't a season make. Also his OL took some hits and is anchored by a fragile Larry Allen. I say try to trade Smith to someone still drooling over last year BUT get a better RB for him. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=233184
weas98 0 Posted September 15, 2006 I personally would sit tight with smith. I think he will come around in the next couple of weeks...I would not over react. As long as you are being competitive and winning each week there is no point to make this trade. I would sit on it for a little b/c smith will not bring a lot of value right now.
