hadji 0 Posted September 16, 2006 There's an owner in my league that is very weak at RB because Domanick Davis is out for the year (2nd round pick) and Portis probably isn't playing (1st round pick). He has Randy, TO, Keyshawn, Muhsin and Rod Smith at WR. We negotiated and the offer on the table right now is he gives me TO and Kevin Jones and I give him Edge, Thomas Jones and Antonio Bryant. My other RB's are Rudi Johnson, Frank Gore, and Jerious Norwood. I figure if I do the deal I can pick up either Samkon Gado or Brandon Jacobs off of waivers due to the open roster spot. My other WR's are Andre Johnson, Derrick Mason, Reggie Brown, and Ernest Wilford. I know it's a little confusing but would you pull the trigger on this trade? Leave a link and I'll answer yours. You're giving up too much. I'd trade him Edge for TO straight up or if he insists on getting a WR out of the deal I'd do TO and KJ for Edge and Antonio. You shouldn't have to give up Jones in this deal, especially with how hurting he is. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=233461
Dascoopman 0 Posted September 16, 2006 If it were me i'd do it even though your giving up 3 for 2, your hurting at WR big time for a Stud and you will get that with TO and KJ is still a good running back especially a #3 which he will be for you with Rudi and Gore. So as long as you start 2 of each I would do it for sure, if you start 3 RB's you may have to re-work the deal a bit so you dont lose 2 RBs. Thanks for mine. Boomer_Sooner 0 Posted September 16, 2006 You said he is weak at RB, then get a better deal. I wouldn't let Edge go that easily. Yea, TO is a definite upgrade, but Kevin Jones is well....... not good at all (useless). So the deal is basically you give him Edge and Thomas Jones (2 RB's better than Kevin Jones) for TO. Bad trade. If he is desperate then let him come crawling back with a better off or countertrade.
Paper Champ 0 Posted September 16, 2006 I agree with Edge for TO straight up. Bryant is looking too good to give up. Maybe offer Edge for Randy if he balks at TO for Edge straight up. Thanks for helping me.
quincy2 0 Posted September 16, 2006 I also think you are giving up way too much. Edge will out perform TO for the year. I think TJ will have a better year then KJ. A lot of preseason rankings might not of had it this way because they thought Benson might be the starter. Then you are throwing Bryant on top? I think that your WRs are OK now and I would wait for a much more attractive offer.
MBH_14 0 Posted September 16, 2006 yep, bryant will surprise and should have a good year. Throwing him in tips the deal, and if i were you, i would hold off on doing it.
J5 0 Posted September 16, 2006 Wow, this is a tough one. I think I would do it though. All 3 of the players you are giving up have question marks. James (o-line), T. Jones (rbbc), Bryant (plays on the niners). TO could be huge and K. Jones is the undisputed starter. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=233375
Nate Burleson's Burly Son 0 Posted September 16, 2006 Bad trade for you. Edge and Jones? No way. TO isn't going to be Philly TO this year. Keep your depth, and refrain from strengthening your opponent.
believe_in_gibbs 0 Posted September 16, 2006 You would essentially be giving up two starting rbs for one starting (yes, elite) wr. You would get the short end of the stick. See Mine
aauhoops33 0 Posted September 16, 2006 ok first ask yourself this question: Who is in dying need of a trade right now? the answer isn't you, its the guy you are trading with, therefore you should be gettign the obvious better end of the deal b/c he needs a rb badly. strangebrew 0 Posted September 16, 2006 if we were talking about one of the more dependable elite wr's then i might go for it. but t.o. is such a pain in the a$$ to make it a whole year. i would wait.
quincyxg 0 Posted September 16, 2006 I would do that! Grab Jacobs, not Gado off waivers. You are strong at RB already. Grabbing TO will make your team better in an area you are weak at. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=233520
