QB dilema

Recommended Posts

Ok, I don't know why my post was blank, but here it is again:

I drafted Bulger as my only QB in a PPR, 4pt/passTD league (vs. 6 for rush/rec.) figuring I could waiver wire around Bulgers bye week and I was willing to roll the dice that his injury is history. When one of the other owners in the league got an itchy trigger finger and dropped Green, I grabbed him, recognizing that it will be at least after his week-4 bye before Green is back, healthy and valuable.

Now I am looking at Bulgers performance over the first two weeks, and my exposure to the STL offensive offense (I also have Holt), and wondering if I would be better off with one of the following free agents:

  • Favre (I have Driver and Ahman, so this might be a little more GB than I can stomach)
  • Grossman (week-7 bye, same as Bulger)
  • A. Smith (also week-7 bye and I have Bryant)
  • Losman (I am gagging a little as I type this)
  • B. Johnson (what year is it again?)

Two questions:

1. Should I grab one of these guys or am I about to overreact?

2. Which of my 2 QB would you drop to do it? (Roster space is too tight to carry three.)

Thanks for answering mine.

You have a tough one.

If you didn't have A. Green and Driver I think the answer is, drop Green and grap Favre. With your team though, I'd stick with Green cuz he's coming back in a couple weeks and may put a shot in the arm of the KC Offense.

Good Luck

I think Favre or Grossman are your top options. I am not that sold on Green to begin with so depending on your league's deductions for int's I might drop Green for Favre, but then you are very dependent on GB. I would hold for now.

Actually, I like the next 3 matchups for Bulger. I believe I'd stay put.

i agree, stay with where your at. i dont think you'll get any better production with those other QB's. however i dont think green will come back that strong. thats just my opinion

I think you should hold on to Bulger for now .. his match up gets better after the game at SF. Plus he should be more and more familiar with the new offensive schemes every week.

Watch out for a shootout in ARI this coming weekend.

Thanks for answering mine .. and yes go Jackets!

If GB Def keeps on giving up a ton of points, Favre is not a bad option. He threw 55 passes Sunday. I counted atleast 7 drops by his TE/WR's. GB @ MIA wk 7.

Thanks for mine!
