buffandan 0 Posted September 22, 2006 This is in a performance league. I was offered D Bress/L Maroney for J Plummer/R Brown. But that would leave me with McNair and Brees with the same bye week. So I'm considering countering with the trade in the topic title. My Current Roster (Start 8: QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE/WR/RB Flex, K, DEF): QB McNair QB Plummer RB S Jackson RB R Brown RB C Taylor RB T Jones WR A Boldin WR D Driver WR T Glenn K M Stover DEF Bengals DEF Jaguars
Integral 0 Posted September 22, 2006 I wuld take it and I will tell you why. You need a QB who is gonna score, and Maroney is gonna be the man in NE. Dillon is already a little banged up, and MAroney is who all the fans want. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=236216
HeadTrip 1 Posted September 22, 2006 If he wants to take your counter offer, I would do this as well. Could work out nicely for ya.
wretched 0 Posted September 22, 2006 Ive been trying to get Maroney since the draft. Brown is a good RB too so Im not sure why you'd want Maroney instead. Getting rid of Plummer a good thing, but I'd really look at RB part of trade and make sure the matchups are in your favor. Thanks for answering mine wretched
buffandan 0 Posted September 22, 2006 To clarify...I'm trying to improve at QB with this trade
twofewbraincell 7 Posted September 22, 2006 Warner or Brees would definately be a large upgrade at QB for you and this trade definately seems even. With Chester Taylor on your bench you would still have a very nice group of RB's and if Dillon gets injured you'd have a great group. I think that you'll have trouble getting Warner from the guy so Brees is probably gonna be your only option. If there is anyone at all that you can possibly pick up when Brees/McNairs byes roll around then I would go for this trade and hope that Plummer doesnt rebound. Denver started slow last season and Plummer was able to put together a good season so just beware of the risk involved.
Ummaguma15 0 Posted September 22, 2006 i think this could work out for you but i figure brown will end up putting up 40-50 more point this season more than Maroney i do not know if warner can stay healthy long enough to make up the difference ronnie is good trade bait...you could get a better QB for him in my opinion thank up for posting on mine
baltfool 0 Posted September 22, 2006 My first thought before seeing your roster was NO WAY! After seeing your roster, I'm thinking no dice. I see why you are considering it and it MAY help your team; but I don't think you are getting enough in return. R.Brown is very good (Maroney great prospects, but Dillon is still going to see time this year) and I am not sure Warner is enough since the QB is really what you are trying to get. I would thin you could snag a better QB (and safer injury wise) than Warner. I see this trade as Brown for Warner, since I doubt you'll be starting Maroney much. I would look to another team as a trade partner, someone with a better QB to offer in return.
