Moose42 0 Posted October 12, 2006 Yes I'm trying to trade for Kevin Jones. I'm 2-3 and I need a good run in the next few weeks and Jones' schedule is very favorable. It's a PPR league, so he does really well. My RB's are as follows and I need someone for the bye: S.Jax Maroney (bye) Addai (bye) F. Taylor (bye) I've got both Heap and Crumpler (only because I got Heap as a throw in for a trade last week), so I'm attempting to package Heap with someone for an RB. The guy with K. Jones has Eric Johnson at TE and also won't give up R. Brown or R. Johnson, so K. Jones is my best bet. Is Heap/Galloway too much? Or should I package Heap with one of Ward, Addai, F. Taylor??? I need a 2 for 1 so that I can pick up a DEF this week. leave a link and I'll help with yours.
loknim 0 Posted October 12, 2006 I think Heap/Galloway would be fine to give up for Jones. I am unsure who your other WR are. Aso Jones is a little banged up this week, but I would do the trade assuming Jones plays. Yes I'm trying to trade for Kevin Jones. dmac37 1 Posted October 12, 2006 Heap as a throw in, he is #2TE in my league. I would offer Crumpler and Galloway for KJ.
Moose42 0 Posted October 12, 2006 Heap as a throw in, he is #2TE in my league.I would offer Crumpler and Galloway for KJ. My WR's are CJ, Harrison, Ward, and Galloway. I got Heap last week because a guy had 3 TE's and was willing to deal him. I'd rather trade Heap than Crumpler because Heap has a bye week coming up and Crumplers schedule is more favorable. Anyone else out there? I've been answering questions for the last 1/2 hour guys, cmon...
hawkvike 0 Posted October 12, 2006 I can't believe I'm saying this, but I would do it given your strength at WR and TE and your weakness at RB. I don't love it, but I think it will help your team. Please help with mine. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=243307
DC Gator 0 Posted October 12, 2006 I think you've got some great running back depth - so, depending on your wr situation i might actually think about trying to deal heap with Fred Taylor. I know Fred has looked pretty good thus far. I just think the writing is on the wall there in Jax. They are going to run the hell out of the ball from here on out because they know it's okay if Taylor wears down because they have Jones-Drew waiting in the wings. I think Fred will, invariably, wear down or get dinged up... giving way even further to Jones-Drew in the next 3-4 weeks. So - the way I see it - get rid of Taylor now while his stock is high. In return - you get a young player in Jones that is going to get his carries no matter what and will be a great play depending on the match-ups.

I've found out that his stock actually isn't that high. And with a cupcake schedule coming up, all I can do is hope he gets the carries and stays healthy, because I'm not getting any value for him (would YOU want Kevan Barlow?). I'd be better off dealing Addai, who is splitting carries even though he's a potential stud.
DIZZY 0 Posted October 12, 2006 I'd rather have Crumpler over Heap as well (Bye + Schedule). If he'll take Heap and Addai for KJ then you're golden. If not, I'd still move Heap and Galloway. You're strong at WR and walk away stronger at RB. Thanks for your advice.
