Trying to get Colston.

Recommended Posts

I'm 5 - 4 in a 3 way tie for 2nd. But seem to be fading. Team is in signature.

I want to try to get Colston from a guy who is 2 - 7 and cannot afford another loss.

Thinking about offering L.Evans, A.Gates & D.Foster for M.Colston, L.J Smith & R.Droughns

His RB's & WR's are

Edge, Barber III, Droughns, Henry

Holt, Colston, Driver, LJ Smith, Shockey

Am I giving up too much?

He's a friend so I dont wanna rip him off but I want Colston.

TE's are used as WR"s in our league.

Thank you for your input

Good Luck

Peace...

In a non-te league... I honestly don't see him going for it.

Gates value as a TE is down... and it's pretty bad as a WR.

He loses Colston in this deal and doesn't really upgrade starters anywhere else.

Try a 2 or 3 for Colston deal... and give him one decent starter you can afford to lose.

I think it's pretty even. for a 2-7 team he probably can't afford to loose Colston...It might be a little more fair if he just gave you Colston and Smith.

I agree even deal if you can get him to do it colston is hot right now though... he does need a RB not sure if foster will get it done..

I had Colston but unfortunaly I traded him away right before he blew up for almost table scraps when I look back at it now. The guy I traded is also in last place and I tried trading back for him but as I should have known hold on to dear life to this guy. I believe ur gonna have to offer more to this guy cause I offered fitz and gates to my guy and he rejected without a thought. With Horn in question Colston could be the top wr. this year.Personally I think he's gonna want more.Maybe offer him a low end rb with what u offered

I think you are getting a great deal but may be low balling him. Colston and Smith will get better numbers than the 3 you are offering. Offer him 2 players for just Colston, take the hit and walk away. Do Gates and Evans for Colston. You will get a solid starter and he will get 2 to replace 2-7 trash.

Thanks for mine

Looks like the reason he is doing so poorly is a serious lack of RB... See if you cant help him there.. I like the idea of a 2 for deal.

I was offered C Johnson and D Driver for Colston and D. Branch. I'm having a hard time with this offer because I use Colston at TE. What an advantage he is now.

... Do not do that deal, Terror. That's a terrible trade if you make it - Johnson and Branch are a wash at this point (and the Bengals have a really tough schedule down the stretch, while the Seahawks get a bunch of bad teams). So you're swapping Colston with TE eligibility for Driver? No THANK you.

As to the deal written by the original poster, I think that's a great deal for you, but I doubt he'll take it. It's a bit lopsided in your favor: Colston >> Evans, Droughns = Foster (about... and if you buy into the DeAngelo Williams hype, Foster's value is on the way down), and Gates > Smith. I think the real issue here is whether or not Foster would be a startable player for him - if that's the case, then this deal's not too bad for him and it's improving your team as well. But if you think Foster's going to lose a lot of carries, or wouldn't start anyway, it's not going to be doing his team much good.
