catelo 0 Posted November 14, 2006 So I am in first place right now, but the last few weeks my points have been down. I am hurting in a few positions one being the RB and the other is the TE position.(WR is a whole other story) I was offered a trade for LJ.. I get FWP, SA, and Desmond Clark or maybe Muhammed instead, I may have to throw in another player, but I think this gives me a better chance to compete in the playoffs with the other two top teams.. I know that I am going to get replies about Alexander not proving anything yet, but the way Morris has looked in recent weeks you have to beleive he is going to produce very nicely when he gets back, and he was cleared to practice this week. At this point I really cant rely on McGahee coming back, so I think I need to make my move. Projected Lineups Me: Division 1 (1st Place) Brady/Rivers FWP, Alexander, McGahee, Housh, C.Henry, S.Moss (Muhammad) Watson, Desmond Clark Patrios Vikings D/ST Team 2: Division 1 (2nd PLace) Palmer LJ, Westbrook CJ, TO Winslow Denver / Steelers D/ST Team 3: Division 2 (1st Place) McNair, Grossman SJax, LT, K.Jones Holt, Walker, Boldin Gonzo Eagles D/ST
catelo 0 Posted November 14, 2006 bump... No advice on this one?
darko 0 Posted November 14, 2006 Never trade with the guy you are trying to beat, that's all the advice I got. He's not going to make any trade unless he thinks it makes him stronger than you, and you won't make a trade unless you think it keeps you ahead of him. You guys aren't going by numbers anymore, just by personal feelings.
enoto 0 Posted November 14, 2006 I'd hate to lose LJ but you DO have depth issues and LJ can't do it all for you. If McGahee is out longer you need a RB2 for the playoffs and SA, barring set backs, should have a good rest of the year w/ his schedule. I think I would go with Muhammed instaed of Clark due to you having 2 WR's from Cincy. Mine? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=253322

Mine? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=253322 Yeah tell me about it, I dont want to get rid of him, but unfortunately S.Moss did not com through for me, neither did Carnel, and with McGahee getting hurt, I feel I am a sitting duck in the playoffs... Morris has done a good job, but if Alexander comes back this week then I am stuck with LJ and Anthony Thomas..
nosferatu9368 0 Posted November 15, 2006 Don't make this trade. LJ could have one of his 140 yard 3 td days when you need him most none of these other players will do that. FWP still plays Balt twice. SA will not be the same when he gets back, if he was good to go he would have played by now and the teams he plays against know his foot hurts and will go after it. Bottom line IMO is don't help the guy chasing you. Would be tough to beat LJ, Westbrook, 85 & TO. Good Luck Thanks for answering mine Peace...
