rdub15 0 Posted December 4, 2006 so i'm currently 7-6, coming off a big win this week. i'm in a very competitive league, in which about 6 guys are competing for 3 playoff spots (only 1 person has sealed a playoff seat). i need to make good decisions this week due to the fact that i play a guy w/ both LT and Steve Smith. i need a win and i have a pretty solid team. any advice on picks, would be appreciated, thanks, every point counts this week: QB: pick 1 Marc Bulger @ home against CHI or Philip Rivers @ home against DEN RB: pick 2 Steven Jackson @ home against CHI Frank Gore @ home against GB Shaun Alexander @ ARI Maurice Drew @ home against IND WR: pick 3 Marvin Harrison @ Jacksonville Donald Driver @ SF Terry Glenn @ home against NO Larry Fitzgerald @ home against SEA Reche Caldwell @ MIA Marty Booker @ home against NE TE: pick 1 Kellen Winslow @ PIT Ben Utecht @ Jacksonville Defense: pick 1 Denver (would usually go with them but they're banged up and playing a tough SD offense) or SF @ home against GB (could pick them off waivers) or TEN @ HOU starting Gramatica at kicker i have solid players, just need some sound advice this week. i know that's asking a lot but i appreciate it. i will answer yours right away. thanks. hawkvike 0 Posted December 4, 2006 Can you pick up another QB? If not, go with Rivers...I just don't like Bulger right now, especially with Chicago's defense. I would probably go with Alexander and Gore...although it's tough to leave Jackson on the bench. Harrison, Driver, Fitzgerald...gotta go with your studs here. The only other one I would think of is Glenn d/t match-up, but in a big week, gotta go with your studs. We don't have defenses or TE in our league...which I highly recommend by the way. Please help with mine. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=257686

Tough matchups. I would start Bulger, but sit S. Jackson (go w/ Gore and Alexander here). I'd also start Driver, Harrison, and Fitzgerald (was tempted to go with Glenn, though). Winslow and Tenn, but I'm not to excited about any of these.
sb2232 0 Posted December 4, 2006 QB: Rivers (as you saw I'm trying to replace Bulger as well, and Denver's D isn't the unstoppable force it was earlier in the season) RB: Alexander (never bench your studs, especially against Arizona), and Gore (GB defense is favorable) WR: Driver (see aove about GB's defense), Fitz and Harrison (never bench your studs) TE: Tough one. Winslow maybe? Utecht really doesn't get a lot of looks, he's more of the blocking TE and Fletcher seems to take Clark's role when he's in there (I'm an Indy homer) D: I'd go with Ten at Houston (as you said in mine). Thanks for your help!
