Galloway, Peterson & Shockey for Barber, B.Jackson & S.Holmes

Recommended Posts

I'm in a 10 team league that plays QB, RBx2, WRx3, W/R, TE, K, DEF. Someone is offering me the following trade:

Joey Galloway

Adrian Peterson

Jeremy Shockey

for

Marion Barber III

Brandon Jackson

Santonio Holmes

My team consists of:

Shaun Alexander

Ronnie Brown

Reggie Wayne

Marc Bulger

Javon Walker

Jerious Norwood

Marion Barber III

Santana Moss

Brandon Jackson

Bernard Berrian

Santonio Holmes

Benjamin Watson

Jerry Porter

This trade would certainly help my TE situation and I like Peterson's potential, but I'm a little concerned with my RB depth if I make this trade. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't make that deal if I were you. MBIII may not have the year he had last season but he will still be the red zone guy. I like Jackson and Holmes' potential TONS more than Peterson's. He'll be lucky to get half his team's carries this season.

Getting rid of MBIII and Holmes isn't worth it for downgrades and Shockey. Watson is solid at TE and you could pick up someone like Owen Daniels or some other sleeper TE later if needed.
