Snotpipes 0 Posted September 26, 2007 Hey guys I could use a little advice. I'm in a yards/reception league where we have to start 2 WRs and 1 TE plus a flex player (RB/WR/TE). My other WRs are Roy Williams, Boldin, V. Jackson, and Shaun McDonald. I need a good TE. Do I trade Coles for Shockey? Leave your link in your response and I will respond in kind. Thanks in advance! Snotpipes 0 Posted September 26, 2007 Wait. Who is your current TE? G. Olsen from Chicago. I had Eric Johnson but dropped him because of his bye this week. Is it worth it to upgrade my TE position by giving up a solid #3/#4 WR like Coles? Thanks for responding ThatAlexGuy
ThatAlexGuy 0 Posted September 26, 2007 Shockey is a strong canidate for 50-80 yards and a possible touchdown every week. He's among the most consitent players in fantasy football. Obviously, you're going to be starting Roy Williams and Anquan Boldin every week, but what yor flew is what I'm guessing you are tying to figure out. If you do trade Coles, I'd start McDonald in your flex this week. He has been getting at least 5 catches every week (6 , 7, 5) and Kitna seems to connect well with him. There's a slight possiblity Calvin Johnson might not play as well, so that can only help Shaun's cause. Take note though, down the stretch, VJax might turn into a high-end No. 2 reciver as Rivers starts to lean on him more. (VJax : Week 1 : 3 Recpetions, Week 2 : 4 Receptions. Week 3 : 6 Receptions) So, I'd take the trade. I think you can get more fantasy points on a weekly basis with a Shockey/McDonald combination than an Olsen/Coles. BrianReilly55 0 Posted September 26, 2007 I'd get Shockey. It's hard to argue with the fact that the guy produces, and it appears that the Giants are at least moving in the right direction. I say go for it. Thanks for your help with mine Good luck!
