quincyxg 0 Posted October 24, 2007 Looking to strengthen my team - particularly at RB position. One team is weak at WR and I wanted to offer a trade to get M. Barbere III from him. Here is what I am thinking. I offer up my D. Driver & A. Green In return for his M. Barber III Think I should do it? Am I offering too much? Should I switch Driver for Curtis? My team: QB (1): J. Kitna, D. Anderson RB (2): L. Maroney, R. Bush, B. Jacobs, A. Green WR (2): D. Driver, L. Fitzgerald, P. Burress, K. Curtis, C. Henry TE (1): C. Cooley, Dallas Clark K (1): Stover D (1): Steelers His team: QB (1): D. Brees, J. Garcia RB (2): L. White, M. Barber, J, Addai, M. Jones-Drew WR (2): T. Owens, A. Walters, M Colston, B. Berrian, TE (1): T. Heap, H. Miller K (1): N. Keading, J. Reed D (1): Chiefs
Eddie George 0 Posted October 24, 2007 I think you are giving up way too much. I know Driver hasn't had his best season, but hes still a very consistent WR option. I know you are well off at the WR position and weak at the RB position, but you are giving up an awful lot to acquire a hit or miss goal line back. I think you are on to something packaging Driver and Green, but I think you can get somebody better than MBIII for them. Maybe try for a guy like Edge or Jordan, those trades I think would be a bit more equal in value for you. heres mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=297847
notJames 0 Posted October 24, 2007 My league has Barber averaging 13 pts per game. Green is nowhere near that and I think it's worth it to give up Driver since you're stacked at WR otherwise. In fact, I'd give up Driver before Curtis since GB has more options to throw to and Curtis is far and away the #1 WR option for McNabb. I say pull the trigger. Hope that helps. And thanks for answering mine.
the bosses 0 Posted October 24, 2007 I would go for it with Driver or Curtis. Philly has some decent matchups down the stretch after the NE game including New Orleans in Week 16(not to get ahead of ourselves). MB3 is the type of guy to get you there. Thanks for mine. whiteknight 0 Posted October 24, 2007 I would make the offer, I would try to offer curtis first, see if he bites....ifhe doesn't , then offer up driver....but yes, make the offer.....thanks for mine...

That said, it still may be worth it for you: I wouldn't even consider Green a loss at this point, it's basically Driver for MB3. But I think your team is pretty stacked as it is. You'd be left with C. Henry and K. Curtis as your #3 WRs, while you'd still have L. Maroney as a #3 RB if you stood-pat. FreddieMercury 0 Posted October 24, 2007 I'd take this trade in a heartbeat. You've got enough WR depth to account for losing Driver. And as a Cowboys homer, I can tell you that MBIII's role is only going to increase from here on out. You can safely expect an avg of 80-90 yds and a TD from here on out. It's a good trade for both teams. Thanks for answering mine!
clace1987 0 Posted October 24, 2007 i would also try curtis/green for barber or go again with the driver/green deal, but insert white instead of barber
Dan Mach 0 Posted October 24, 2007 I say do it. You still have very good WR. You aren't giving up to much and you trading from a position of strenght.
