Bench Brady this weekend?

Recommended Posts

I'm in second place in my league and round 1 of the playoffs is this weekend. I can't believe I'm even considering it, but I am. With the impending storm heading to the northeast, there may a good chance that the Pats will have to go to their running game this Sunday. I picked up Trent Edwards and with the Bills going against Cleveland to keep their playoff hopes alive, I'm wondering if I should play him instead of Brady. Tell me I'm crazy, go ahead.

Also, I'm "slated" to beat my opponent by 50 points. I know that Yahoo projected points are no true indicator, but I'm just sayin'.

YOU'RE CRAZY!

Yeah its definitely hard to bench Brady. Keep an eye on the weather and see what you should do. Edwards has a good matchup.

You replied to my question, so I'll try to make this as considerate as possible.

ok...let me get this straight. You are considering benching Brady for Trent Edwards. Um, dude, I don't care if there's a category 5 hurricane hovering over Foxboro, you start Brady. This is like asking me if I'd rather sleep with Elisha Cuthbert or Nell Carter.

Belichick will stick with the air attack regardless of conditions.

you should do the same with brady.

Belichick sticking with the air attack and Brady & his receivers being effective are two different things. I'm in CT, and the weather out there is downright nasty. Sleet and heavy gusts of winds.

Any other opinions now that it's Sunday?

Trent Edwards may have it worse in Cleveland than Brady. Snow 25mph winds are expected in Cleveland. Definately go with Brady, he is used to playing in these conditions.
