RB : Frank Gore or LenDale White

Recommended Posts

Should I play Frank Gore against Cinci tonight or LenDale White against Kansas City tomorrow?

Frank Gore has been a total yardage beast lately and gets a great matchup against CIN. Problem is, with Shaun Hill at QB, he's their offensive threat and CIN could just stack the box and shut him down or just be so far ahead that SF abandons the run. But the potential for a big game from Frank is defiently there.

LenDale White seems to have fully recovred from his knee injury and has an excellent matchup against KC. KC has been demolished against the run the past 3 weeks and White has been pretty consistent his past 2. Chris Brown is going to take 2-8 carries and could hurt his value, though.

So who do you think I should go with???

White v. KC because Gore will not have the opportunities to score with Hill at QB. Plus, SF may have to throw being behind.

Please help.

I think they both may be good plays this week. I like Gore a bit better for a few reasons. First, it's a primetime game at home for a team that hasn't had much exposure or good fortune this year. I think they may outplay people's expectations tonight. I think this team has something to prove and is looking to bring their A game tonight. The switch at QB may turn you off at first, but you have to realize that neither Dilfer nor Smith was really lighting it up anyways, so maybe change is a good thing. Finally, I don't know if that defense can stop the run even with 8 in the box. I think Frank makes some noise tonight.

As far as White is concerned, you know he will get his 20-25 carries. And he'll probably fall forward for 3.5 ypc and get 80 yards +/- a score. However, you just have to wonder about the Titans these days. The team has been getting away from all the things that made them such a tough team to beat over the last 20 games or so. I'm sure Fish will come out and try to pound the rock and get Vince going on play action, but I think this is a trap game for them in many ways. Aarowhead is a tough spot to play. And the Chiefs defense is underrated, especially at home. Lastly, Chris Brown will get some touches and may turn out to be a better option vs that defense.

tough call, but i say Gore. but, it's really on more of a hunch than a sure thing...
