smartgenius 0 Posted September 2, 2008 6/td 1/15 yds. rec and rush -2/fum lost trying to upgrade at receiver where I have: Santana Moss Derrick Mason Reggie Wayne Roddy White I took a flyer on Chris Perry at RB for CIN and want to package him with a WR (Moss?) for either Housh, Marshall or Holt from the guy with Kevin Smith playing off the Rudi signing. It's a keeper league, so Housh and Marshall probably have the most long-term value....do I have a chance for these guys at all? Thanks--leave a link and I will answer yours... JakeinTX 0 Posted September 2, 2008 I also grabbed Perry this week / am assessing what I can get for him; Perry + S. Moss for a top 10 WR like the three named could be tough right now ... I would think they would find it more palatable if Perry is indeed servicable in the first two weeks or so, e.g., a top 20 RB. On the other hand, maybe you could get them to bite on Perry + Mason and all his receptions last year --- remind them McGahee is injured, "Mason is Flacco's primary target", Billick's gone (anything else you can think of to boost the feared Ravens air attack) ... Might be better to see if Marvin has something worthwhile in Perry, though. Good luck (+ please check out mine posted about an hour ago).

Wow dude those are sh*tty. Umm...first, a full roster would be nice to look at. In order to upgrade, you need to give talent to get talent, especially given the type of WR your looking for. So seeing as your WR core isnt anything to be scared of, ive got to assume you either have a really good back up, or a deep stable of backs. If you post your whole lineup, ill come back to this link. As long as you come give me your critisim, so i dont forget. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=321318

smetana34 0 Posted September 2, 2008 I HATE Larry JOhnson this year. I would try trading him. I would think him and Curry would be enough to get Marshall and Booker. But if hes as low as me on LJ, Jacobs would look pretty nice to him cuz hes really got nothing at RB. If you were to deal MJD, Jacobs, or Johnson, you still have plenty of depth and wouldnt miss any of them at all. Offer him Johnson, Perry, and White for Marshall and Holt as a starting point. You may need to change LJ to Jacobs thou OR Johnson, Wayne, and Perry for Marshall, Housh, and Kevin Smith That leaves your starting roster as Anderson/Hasselbeck - nobody knows how ADnerson is going to do this year MJD Jacobs Marshall Housh Moss/White Smith Scobee And it doesnt weaken him much either. He gets a huge upgrade at RB, while essentially only giving up one big WR, cuz hes getting one back in Wayne. You can always remove Wayne and Housh from the equation, and offfer - Johnson and Perry for Marshall and Smith. Youve got a lot of options, but there going to have to come from the RB position. I like the BOLDED trade the best and would try to get that one. The ket to this thou is you got to sell to him the fact that his RB's arent all that great and Johnson and Perry help him imensly. Cuz those two are the lone starters on there team.
tazman01 0 Posted September 3, 2008 I agree your initial offer is not enough to bite and smentana34 is right on - I'm not big on LJ and he is rated fairly high - offer him LJ, and white or Mason for Marshall who s/b top 10 wide, if needed throw in Perry. Try to do it now before Perry plays. If he has a bad game he may think Perry is useless.
